If long battery life then Toshiba T130@RM3299
or you can consider Asus UL80Vt@RM2999

Though don't hope much on a notebook sound system, better invest in better headphone or speaker.

Thanks for your input. I'll check out those notebooks you mentioned.

Like that, then Dell Studio XPS 16, its 15.6''

Though there might be an GPU update/upgrade of it soon
As for heat, it heat at the touchpad, but still manageable...

Do u know what GPU Dell will use for upgrade? it'll be done soon?

most probably HD 5730 but not sure is DDR3 or DDR5... if it's DDR3 then HD 4670 will be slightly better in term of performance (DX11 excluded)

Asus K40AB/K50AB@RM1999,
Lenovo G450 with Nvidia G210M@RM1999,
The lenovo G450 will have better battery life that the Asus K40AB/K50AB but has a bit weaker GPU and stronger CPU compared to the Asus.

Thanks for the reply!

1 question though, is graphic card very important for cad, photoshop, 3dsmax, etc? Can Dell Studio 15's graphic card handle them? I think it's 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570, right? smile.gif

Acer wise, Acer 4740@RM1999, though gaming performance wise, lose to those two.
2-3 hours battery life is pretty normal for notebook with dedicated GPU...
If you want more than that, then you need either get culv notebook or notebook with intel gma which sacrifice performance instead of battery life...

Lenovo G450 should be silver colour?

Acer 4530 is old model...

If you want a bit better performance in gaming, then take the Asus K40AB/K50AB, its also comes with 2 years warranty by default.
