acer 4745G is far better in term of GPU and battery life...
well the Dolby Surround System in Acer 4745G is better...

AFAIK, there are complaints about battery issues[which is worse compare to timeline series.. but of course it is]...
other than that.. no big matter..

Brand=any reliable brand(ASUS,DELL) i hear ACER not reliable at all

Budget= RM3000 or more prefer under RM3000

Specs: i5, 4GB RAM, 500GB

For Optimus, you would need to spend RM4K for Asus N82Jv....

better avoid acer at any cost. i've bad experience with them..been thru 2 laptops now..

I wouldn't say avoid Acer at old cost.

Nowadays Acer's been in top of their game and can be comparable to ASUS.

but i am not using it for games,mainly for watching videos and words.
just hope have battery of at least 3 hours.
any other asus that have almost same spec as acer 4745G?

hey guys i need help. i'm looking for a laptop since im going overseas to study so i hope to get some recommendations for laptops. looking for:

core i5 processor, hopefully the newer ones like i5 520
500GB 7200rpm hd
an upper level class 2 graphics card
4gb ddr3 ram
15.6-16" inch screen

gonna be using the laptop mainly for casual use, but im also gonna play games on it like crysis, risen, battlefield... so yeah i guess its gonna need a good CPU+GPU performance.

ive been looking at models and am interested in models like toshiba qosmio f60 and dell xps 1645 and asus n61JA... any reviews on these laptops or better alternatives? budget is 4.5k

Asus N82JV ..since u studying oversea.. Asus N82JV is the best for you as it has 2yrs international warranty..
well.. blue ray is necessary if u are movieholic..LOL...
well.. having blue ray drives now is just like u having dvd rom drive 5 yrs ago..

so.. better to have it...

dell studioXPS 16 is good..

but i recommended Asus N82JV .. as it has better spec and performance..
and it is 14' while StudioXPS 16 is 15.6' ..
