In terms of performance, is a 2gig to 4gig ram step a big one? How significant is the performance difference? And the Windows 7 Home Basic and Home Premium, what's the difference that separates them? I was thinking of getting the Dell New Inspiron 15.

QUOTE(elmo666 @ May 3 2010, 11:38 PM) In term of performance, 1st is the best; bigger size + faster HDD (7200RPM - normal laptop use 5400RPM), much more faster than 2nd & 3rd options + larger amount of RAM. But over the terms, the 4330 is a relatively weak card isn't it? How bout the inspiron 13R, i3 -330M, W7HP, 2gig's ram, 5470 1Gb = RM 2382?In term of gaming, 2nd & 3rd is better since the graphic card is HD5450 compare to 1st - HD4330 If money is not a problem, go for 1st. Otherwise, if u have tight budget, go for 2nd. U can add other RAM later on. It will cost u rm174 @ Viewnet. |

ahh, shucks.. I could've easily gotten the 15R but the W7 Home basic is seriously a turn down, a big NO NO. I've seen in reviews through the Notebook Check, the 5450 is below the 4570 and 5145. Those 3 just have a slight difference isnt it? As for 1GB GPU's, would it eat the ram memory?

If I were to upgrade the 2gb ram myself, would it void the warranty? since I'm gonna have to remove the back cover. Wouldn't the stickers tear?In term of gaming, 2nd & 3rd is better since the graphic card is HD5450 compare to 1st ; HD4330. If money is not a problem, go for 1st. I just got back from Harvey Norman.. I've seen the 4745G and 5942G, am just worried about the size.. For the performance per price I think I'll opt for the New Inspiron 15. Actually.. I wanted to get the Inspiron 13R but then I realised it doesn't have a optical drive.. Sad case
