Hey guys I have a question,

http://www.lowyat.net/v2/latest/hp-unveils...-lifestyle.html

The last paragraph is regarding the HP Pavilion dv3 Entertainment Notebook PC but then it states,

"Powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and configurable with up to 8Gb RAM, the dv2 is certainly a power packed machine in a diminutive package. The dv2 also features DX11 graphics, switchable between Intel HD and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450, so yes it can run Crysis. Rounding off the features on this notebook with 640Gb of HD space and HDMI output, the dv3 could very well be the ultimate entertainment notebook."

"The HP Pavilion dv3 Entertainment notebook starts at RM4099 and will be available in early May."

So is it dv2 or dv3?

Acer 5942G RM4799
-Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz
-4GB DDR3
-ATi Mobility Radeon HD5650 1GB GDDR3
15.6" HD LED Backlit LCD
-500GB HDD

I have a friend with SXPS 16 Core i7-720QM with ATi Mobility Radeon HD4670 1GB GDDR3 cost RM4899 he's now returning it because of the heat which he is not comfortable with..

By the way if you want Sager you can import from www.mucro.asia ..

Sager NP8690 would be the best one.. ATi Mobility Radeon HD5870 1GB GDDR5 on a 15.6" notebook thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

In term of performance, 1st is the best; bigger size + faster HDD (7200RPM - normal laptop use 5400RPM), much more faster processing (2.4Ghz+TB>2.93Ghz) + larger amount of RAM.

In term of gaming, 2nd & 3rd is better since the graphic card is HD5450 compare to 1st ; HD4330.
If money is not a problem, go for 1st.
Otherwise, if u have tight budget, go for 2nd. U can add other RAM later on. It will cost u rm174 @ Viewnet.

Well, for FullHD Anti-glare, you would need to choose Precision series...
64-bit can be used for 32-bit, just need to be same version.

The third one because 2GB RAM for RM149 is quite cheap compared to the price on shops....

If gaming is the concern, Inspiron 13R would perform better...
Pretty much is the cheapest notebook available with HD5470 now...
Note that it doesn't have dvd drive...

How's the air flow in dell notebooks? Am concerned about temp issues.. My previous laptop went through a horrible experience because of that.

Haven't tried those model, so can't comment much on it...
Thought the 13'' might heat up pretty quick considering its size unless Dell do some proper job in its cooling...

ahh, shucks.. I could've easily gotten the 15R but the W7 Home basic is seriously a turn down, a big NO NO. I've seen in reviews through the Notebook Check, the 5450 is below the 4570 and 5145. Those 3 just have a slight difference isnt it? As for 1GB GPU's, would it eat the ram memory?

Well, the 1GB is dedicated, so it shouldn't eat ram memory...
