Hello, not sure if this is the correct thread for it but I'm looking for a tablet PC for professional design works.
budget: about RM3k
specs: anything as long as it's able to handle Photoshop, 3D Studio Max (with ray tracing and all) and all those heavy stuff without any hiccups.
brand: I don't really have a specific band preference as long as it's not some brandless or a knock-off brand.
size: I think the standard size for tablets are 13"... was it? I don't really mind as long as it's not super tiny or hard to draw with.
First I thought about HP's tx2 series but there were a lot of complaints for its touch feature being laggy or something. Now I'm looking at Asus R1 but I'm still not sure... Any recommendations?
Well, I'm not really aware of tablet notebook myself, but at this price range, usually there's nothing really good about tablet with its spec, especially for handling those stuff without any hiccups. What's the specs for the Asus R1?budget: about RM3k

What I suggest is take a normal notebook 13''/14'' and pair with wacom pen tablet.
or can consider Toshiba M500-S432@RM3699, its a notebook but with touch screen, though less with the rotatable screen.
Whichever you pick, I suggest to upgrade the ram to 4GB.

budget: around rm2500
specs:any
brand:any

i think im only use AutoCAD Civil and online for downloading.... the best i could get maybe 4740G-432G50?
For the moment, I wouldn't really suggest Acer 4740G as some user facing random hanging issues, consider Dell Inspiron 14/15, i5 430M + ATi HD4330@RM2499specs:any
brand:any
size:any

how you rate 5942g vs asus any similar spec and pricing wise?
i would still prefer larger screen atleast 15.6 and above to 17
Well, Asus wise, would be Asus N61Ja@RM4999, though if you don't mind ordering online, there's Asus G51Jx@RM5.2K at mucro.asiai would still prefer larger screen atleast 15.6 and above to 17

ATi HD5730 in Asus N61Ja is basically a higher clock version of HD5650, so if you get Acer 5942G, you can just overclock HD5650 to the same level of HD5730,
Acer 5942G vs Asus N61Ja vs Asus G51Jx
15.6'' vs 16.0'' vs 15.6''
i7 720QM vs i5 520M vs i7 720QM
ATi HD5650 vs ATi HD5730 vs Nvidia GTS360M
4GB vs 4GB vs 6GB
1366x768 vs 1366x768 vs 1920x1080
usb 2.0 vs usb 3.0 vs usb 2.0
