Performance? netbook has almost the same spec, only different in design or battery life or after sales...
Other than that, then its not under RM1.2k?

Well, its 15'', so that weight is pretty normal...
If you want lighter, can consider Lenovo Y460, 14'', i5 430M + ATi HD5650@RM3599, it has the same GPU but weaker CPU or Asus N82Jv, i5 520M + Nvidia GT 335M@RM3999, 14'' as well...

Now the Dell Vostro 3700 is better than the Acer 5740g in terms of performance (for now anyway since its cheaper?) Then the BenQ S42/S57 is it better though being apparently rare? If lets say budget allows a few *00(5?) extra meaning should get Dell Studio 15 or is there something else?

Vostro 3700 = BenQ S57 > BenQ s42 > Acer 5740G = Dell Studio 15...

or get Lenovo Y460, i5 430M + ATi HD5650@RM3599 which better than those tongue.gif

Performance is too wide a term to use when all you're comparing is gaming performance....

not to say only gaming performance lor. more to like multi tasking because when doing work have many windows and progs on, battery life, weight, monitor size. so like performance is also taking into account all of this though i would also be gaming on it.

Hello, not sure if this is the correct thread for it but I'm looking for a tablet PC for professional design works.

budget: about RM3k

specs: anything as long as it's able to handle Photoshop, 3D Studio Max (with ray tracing and all) and all those heavy stuff without any hiccups.

brand: I don't really have a specific band preference as long as it's not some brandless or a knock-off brand.

size: I think the standard size for tablets are 13"... was it? I don't really mind as long as it's not super tiny or hard to draw with.

First I thought about HP's tx2 series but there were a lot of complaints for its touch feature being laggy or something. Now I'm looking at Asus R1 but I'm still not sure... Any recommendations?
