Sorry to ask noob question here, can a ms put gen-b and gen-c at the same time? Then can switch to gen-b or gen-c anytime?

i'm about to ask the same question also like you... anyway my problem might be the same it will stay loading until more than 5min-10min after that message pop-up saying cannot read UMD ... but if i on my psp then open the UMD cover it boot up faster and no message sayin UMD cannot read... aiyoo what had happen...

another thing is when i played it's suddenly pop-up saying "Are you really sure want to exit the games"... .. it is like i suddenly hit the home button infact i did not do it... some says it's because of the "strip" what are the meaning of this STRIP..?

Any good shop that you guys can recommend and can be trusted as without they change the ORI part of the PSP except the faulty things?

I am new to PSP and just gotten myself an un-mod PSP3006 ...
Beside purchasing games in UMD format, PSN download is another options for new games, right? But may i know where i can get the PSN card? Furthermore, for those games that i had purchased from PSN, can i share it with frens? or its strictly for single user?

yup..i think so.. i'm using gen-C so far no prob..btw.. just notice got few games got corrupted or not detected..but when i read somewhere in the net..after u using gen-c..try format ur MS in system setting..but backup all data first..then i tried again.. wallah~ no prob at all~ ^^

Only psp 3000 version below 5.03 can be hack, higher than that, cant...

what do you mean safe??

if you buy from other than sony store, you never get the sony warranty, only shop warranty. sony will only accept unit that buy from them directly.

nope, can not shut down properly. but is it really important you want to shut down properly? it a small price to pay to play free games.

yes it is safe..good thing bout psp3006 is that..when u take out the battery or switch off.. it will reset to OFW..so imo..it wont void warranty...and it's safe to do that..i wont brick ur psp at all..but bare in mind..only with Gen-A/B/C..psp 3006 never ever use Gen-D3..or ur psp will brick...
another good thing is u can choose to use OFW or CFW in no time..but to set back CFW it take some time as MHUspeed or chickHen need trial and error..sometime on one try..sometime 10 trial stil cannot..haha..

as i said above..nope, u cant shut down the unit completely..if done, than it will be flash back to OFW..

I think all shops are same, their warranty wont cover software, and only cover hardware...
After hack, psp 3000 console can be fully shut down, just when u switch on again, u need to run the chickHen again, it's easy

oh ... just need to patch the firmware will do? is it easy to do? do i need any device? FYI my current unit is using firmware version 6.2 :-)

So if its on an older firmware like 5.0.3, we can just update the firmware easily without going through any special device? like those pandora battery + magicgate stuff?

yup..if u have psp300xx with ofw 5.03 ofw,just load the chickhen or mhuspeedv3 or LMAO and after that,go straight ahead to load cfw 5.03 gen-c..no need pandora battery,just put the things inside ur mspd.

Oh great :-) at least i can wait for the new firmware that can wait for firmware 6.2 ... hahahahah meanwhile i believe i shouldnt proceed to upgrade my firmware through sony, right?

And one more question, i do heard that the games that we had downloaded from PSN (purchased) can be shared with 4 accounts legally, is that true? and lastly, did you guys know which shop does carry numbers of UMDs? Thinking of getting the Dynasty Warrior UMD and GT5 UMD if the price is reasonable ...

erm guys, i just successfully update to 3.52 M33. and now i'm trying to upgrade it to 5.00 m33 in order to upgrade to 5.50gen

so when i'm upgrading 5.00m33, and click the update from XMB, it went to a black screen:
Unpacking... done.
