anyone know how to fix analog drifting ?

I'm starting to regret not getting a PSP sooner.

So, just to confirm, any issues using UMD games with CFW? How easy is it to find a brand new CFW-compatible PSP unit these days anyway?

Not easy.

Most of those in market is using ChickHEN, which is very troublesome.

I prefer the good old V2 Mobo. With CFW 5.50 Prometheus now.

its not hard to find hackable psp right now.
hackable psp is much more expensive from original psp right now.

No issues but some UMD game,especially newer ones,needs new official firmware,so you need to use ofw instead of cfw.

got the same feeling wit u...today...searching around pertama and lowyat for PSP 2000...only refurbished unit was available...hard to find a 'non-refurbished' one anyway...some of the seller said 'recon'...some said 'refurbished'...is both term have the same meaning?can anyone clarify it??i'm confuse here... ...is anyone know where else i can find a 'non-refurbished' set that is fully hackable?..means wit ta-088v2 mobo....huhu...

@jimang86,well i would say totally impossible to find brand new units already. You might wanna hunt for 2nd hand units then =)

i used memory card from the package... when i buy psp... i buy psp 3001 ratchet and clank... 1gb...

Whether it's fake memory stick or not, it works the same . No difference at all.
@rezraz, how did you run the application? did you even get a greenscreen before booting into 5.03?

well...lacus...is it ok to buy refurbished set?will the set give me troublesome letter?just want to know your opinion as an expert

like everyone say... first restore the psp, then off umd auto, off umd cache... then run the chickenr2 from the photo... it work... but when i put the games in stick i say corrupted data... and when i off the psp, it system when back to 5.03... huhuhu...

rezraz, after running chickhen, did u run the cfw 1st? like 5.03 m33 or 5.03 genC? u'll need it to runs game from MSPD. u cant straight play after running chickhen. and it's normal if it gone back to 5.03 ofw when u restart the psp. u just need to put in sleep mode.

ok... let's do it step-by-step.k
1- starts the psp > system > set to default > turn UMD cache off.
2- photo > run chickHen > screen go glitch and system restart > system shows 5.03 ChickHen
3- game > run CFW enabler or CFW 5.03 GenC(my psp) or GenD
4- psp will restart again and systems shows the CFW like 5.03 M33-6 or 5.03 genC...

then u go check the game.

Well I presume you know how the exploit works right? there should be a quick green screen thingie before it will boot into chickhen enviroment.

it seems that he missed/skipped the cfw installation...

I am tired of take the battery off,and putting in back into my PSP a dozen of times just to activate chickHEN.Are there any better alternative.

A shop is selling 8g MS(fake??) for RM100.Should i get it?

Better alternative than ChickHEN? Yes, find a PSP2000 with V2 Mobo and install CFW 5.50 Prometheus.

what is chickHEn anyway?
