nope. [5.00 m33] IS a firmware. kernel is 1.5 / 3.x / 5.x
latest cfw is 5.50 prometheus
noticable difference between them:
5.00M33-6 = speed up MS function
5.03 GEN-C / 5.50GEN-D3 = play 6.xx games without updating / patching
5.03 prometheus / 5.50 prometheus = even more latest games supported

QUOTE(ikan_semilang @ Aug 10 2010, 01:39 AM) which best firmware? 5.00 M33 or 5.50 Gen D? 5.00 M33 is considered the most stable firmware of all, but it is outdated and cant played a lot of isos unless the isos are patched. 5.50 Gen D is the upgraded version from 5.00M33, but it has minor issues. So far, i have no problems with it although some users have reported auto switch off or something. Not a big deal for me. Currently, I am on 5.50 Prometheus. The best so far, since most isos are supported unpatched.

@cupmee2nd, try disabling all game plugins including cwcheat. then, if successfull, enable 1 by 1.
@senoqc, the best for you is use pandora +mms. if you dont have this, you have to update step by step 3.03 OE-A > 3.71M33 > 4.01M33 > 5.00M33 > 5.50GEN or 5.50 prometheus
@lie_bizkut, need to know the firmware. Settings > System Settings > System information

The problem is even in recovery mode, my psp cant read the card. Keep blink. When i go the plugin it is empty because it cant read it.. I think I will backup the data and reformat it.

yeah, there is bro adz. try pspfiler. but you have psp3000 right? try not to touch anything that says "flash0" in the program. or you will have a very sleek door stopper.
