Yeah. Wonder what's the original price for that FAKE console.
Well, I will. It's money.
Furthermore, i need money to fix it and compensate my friend.
Feel bad for recommending her such a lousy seller and unreliable.

Yes, selling fake items are not allowed here. If you have sufficient proof, click on report on his sales thread.

As far as I know there's no completely red DS Lite except the limited edition Mario Red DS Lite. Is your friend's unit look like this?

guys, i doubt the DS is a fake just based on the barcode

Mine was bought few years ago, US version, black, and there's a barcode on the serial number, and I even successfully registered the serial at Nintendo Club

The website vildante provided doesn't really proves the existence of FAKE DS, the so called FAKE DS actually is US region DS, where can be seen clearly from the serial number, and the one they are comparing is the UK version. If you look under the Jap version, again it's different.

The website call it fake just bcos of bad 3rd party power adaptor. Remember the US DS came with 110V power adapter only, whereas UK is using 220/240V power, so in order to sell the US set in UK, you'll have to replace the 110V with the 220V 3rd party adaptor.

In the case of TS, i believe the DS is a GENUINE NDS from NINTENDO, but most likely is a refurbished set sold as new, some of the refurbished set they changed the case and the buttons, and also the battery.

one way to check if it's refurbished or not, check the screws, got any scratched mark on it or not, brand new one should have any, and also open up the battery compartment and check the battery to see if it's genuine battery from Nintendo. and also check the packaging.

There's no FAKE NDS, there's only re-furbished NDS sold as new.
But if confirms it's re-furbished, then the seller also is a conman and doesn't deserve sell his items here in LYN anymore.

Its not the matter of genuine or fake.
Its the matter of warranty and trustworthy. He's selling faulty set and he don't want to give me any service.
Yet, I just realize that he didn't ever give me a warranty card.

It can't be brand new original as PM has suggested, all red NDSL comes with M logo. So there are 2 possibilities:

1. Fake NDSL
2. Recon NDSL with buttons and casing replaced

Either way it's a con case.

Just check with a shop in Midvalley.
Shop keeper told me that it's not battery problem, but screen.
She claim that if its battery problem, lights won't turn on.

Any suggestion where should i fix it?
Since Top Games won't be offering me any warranty or service.
I rather pay more and let other do it for me. Rather that seeing his jerk face.

Seconded. My black USA DSL has a barcode over the serial number and it's genuine. Should be a refurb unit rather than a fake unit.

yeah.stay away from that shop

my friend buy xbox 360 modded from him.they msj via phone
the seller said got 1 year warranty, and also got 2 black controller if add up another rm100.overall price that time was rm 1480
then when we came to that shop.it only written 1 month warranty.wth?we don't complain as the guy was not there.only a girl,so we thought she don;t know much and was reallyt excited to play at that time.can't wait any longer..then they should have the xbox package ready bcause we already book the item, but the girl give white xbox controller bcause she said that black already out of stock.

then,we came another day to get the xbox controleer black which was promised then wtf.he said must add another rm 15 or rm 10  with 2 of his game.then my fren just give rm 10 with the games.bcasue the shop its not really near.we thought he could be trusted bcause he replying sms quite fast.
and there one more thing.the seller said the xbox don't need bootdics just 1 day before my fren buy.then when we are at his shop,he say must use bootdisc(must add another rm 10)

and i think the xbox got problem too.bcause most of his game can be played, but games from other shop.some can;t be played.eventhough after using bootdisc
last time my friend xbox which was 3rod now.can play every game he buy from other shop.a bit weird.

actually i already reccomended my fren to buy at ps zone, smartchocie or bangsar shoping centre or bernard at pertama but all those shops was quite far

and just few weeks after that.xbox no need bootdics and get free hdmi cable at the price of rm 1280+.
this we can't really blame him bcause other shop also got near the same price.sux.should have buy it later.

Just sharing my 2 cents with you regarding the bootdisc.

The old xbox with falcon chip does not require the play new games or old games.

As for the xbox with Jasper chip ( the new xbox for now), normally requires bootdisc for some of the new games and it may not be able to play some of the old games too.

Got to know about this from a friend of mine who sells console in Summit. Hope it helps.

btw, Kelly...

I works in Jaya One.

There were 2 Game Shops above Cold Storage... which shop is this?

is this the one selling only games+console (which is inside)?

or the one got sell handphones+phone accessories (which is nearer to the outside)?

anyway, I've visited both last week... both looks dodgy to me.
