Ok i just need to vent on my recent order from Man Utd store. First thing is the embroidery that was poorly customized, i was hugely disappointed with it and to add salt to wound the Carling Cup patch on one of the sleeve is not done properly. And the third thing is the printing done is not Lextra player size rather than PU cheap material, if i knew they use PU all the while i wouldn't even bother to get a name print... I have sent an email requesting for full refund and the customer service replied:

Thank you for your email.

I am very sorry that the item we sent you appears to be faulty. I can only
apologise for this and any inconvenience this has caused you.

Please return your item by Royal Mail Special Delivery, enclosing the receipt
for your postage to:

Manchester Direct
Quality Control Department
Greengate

Manchester

As soon as we receive the parcel our Quality Control Team will assess the
product and inform you of the outcome.

Once again please accept our apologies for this, and if you have any further
queries please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service Department.

Kind Regards

Well i certainly hope that they don't disappoint me again by claiming a refund is impossible or else this is the last time i'll ever shop at the store again... mad.gif shakehead.gif

well basically most of the stores in UK prints the NN's in PU.
cos it's easier to just put it on n iron.
that's why. embroidery should be a one off thing i guess.
i believe the carling patch can be re-ironed.
i dont think u can complain about the PU NN's cos they are after all official.

first time buying from united direct?

most UK shops prefer PU cos easy to apply.
but not all of them.
for online stores, most club stores do official Lextra printing.
only united direct does PU, cos it's run by kitbag.

only EPL NN's have a choice of PU and Lextra.
others like SPL, GBL, ISA and WC kits all are PU.

the PU nns is official product, it's partly your fault for not checking properly in this forum or ask members here, i think this is a FAQ that Kitbag and United Direct sells their NNS in PU material. if you read the first page, you would have read the info from topic "3. What is player version and replica Names and Numberings (NNs)? What kind of NNs are we buying for the new EPL season?" . Also, the embroidery is standard for everyone, so no complain there. And the patch can be easily ironed back. Considering the rarity of this product and already OOS, u might wanna reconsider keeping this shirt.

no offense, but i wouldnt give any advise on printing fake NNS on a shirt, whether you do it the right way or the wrong way, you'll just gonna screw up a good shirt anyway unsure.gif

Agree, while we appreciate that everyone has a choice to choose what items to buy, however for this thread it is specifically stated that there shall be no discussions on fake items so hope that particular discussion on fake nns ends here. Dithering no one here can vouch for the quality of the nns so it's really ur choice n risk to apply it mate.

On the PU issue, yes bro moat online stores in UK print in PU prints. You should have dropped them a mail to confirm or curled here as it has been discussed before. Well anyway as added info, most of us here do not take up the free printing from kitbag etc unless really cheap or rare cos kitbag and it's afiliated agile like unted direct (same operations) are infamous for printing errors especially when dealing with large amount of orders. Ask pyro for the infamous MU blur kit pics haha and u will know...

Added on March 21, 2010, 8:53 amRe Wings86, Fyi the uksoccershop is not recommended at all. Accordingto our fellow member in the uk he is just a college kid trying to make quick buck and more often than not he fails to deliver etc. So be warned and buy at your own risk.

Thanks for your input. I just realized they use PU on EPL lettering because from my previous haul, they are all UCL lettering so i can't tell since UCL are all PU. The embroidery is not what it looks in their store, and i know i could heat treated the patch but i wouldn't really wanted to spend on something that are done without quality 'cause of their massive bulk from worldwide....

I would like to correct this statement a bit, not ALL online stores provide PU nns. In fact, contrary to popular belief, i notice that most online store provide Lextra/Senscilia printing. The only reason why there's worry about PU printing is because among the few that uses PU, are Kitbag and United Direct, arguably the 2 biggest online stores around, especially to the Malaysian audiences. online stores like Subsidesports, Onionbag, even Everton Direct and TigerLeisure of Hull City uses Lextra/Senscilia NNS. Also not to mention NNS sellers like Wiggysports, SS352, Replicaroom, Home of Badges etc that if you do buy jerseys from them, they use Lextra as well. So far i only know of two places that uses PU, which is Kitbag and UD, not sure bout others like Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool online store etc.
