ive done undervolting my Z, its pretty cool and good to lower down the temp.
but now, no more since im feel too lazy to redo the same procedure after formatting my Z. and also, doesnt make real difference to me since im aint really gaming on notebook and P variant processor is already at decent temp. just my rant |

QUOTE(M1X @ Jan 24 2010, 10:59 PM) ok, from my normal usage with brightness level 3 and power plan "power saver" is tweaked a bit, i managed to get the laptop increase its battery life from 4hours+ to 5~6hours. now that's what i call achievement. i will do it accurately next time with Battery Eater |

Can you please refer on the 1st post. There's a Link to the Undervolting guide which uses RMClock to undervolt. Do read the guide carefully in order to succeed in the Under Volting procedure. Good Luck!

I gave it a try. But at the lowest PST, my processor is already at the lowest voltage that RMClock can set. So since I'm using my computer at the lowest multiplier and voltage all the time through Window's default power management, this doesn't give me a cooler PC or more battery life.

Yes without backpanel you could achieve insanely low temperature, I even managed to get 38C CPU and 44C GPU temperature in non air conditioned room. It could get dusty but don't worry unless you could used it on dusty environment. Using notebook cooler minimises it

I just hope nothing went wrong after I test undervolting few days back, cuz feels like my laptop battery life getting abit shorter. Maybe I just too sensitive or something =p
About the back cover, I tried several times to remove my UL80VT cover (because my hand was itchy lolz), but failed... I have no idea how the cover been assembled together... Pull out all the screws but still very tight, lots of 'traps' around » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by M1X: Jan 27 2010, 04:20 AM |
