Is this tournament still on or what?
There is no reply by the organizer here, no reply from his email, no reply from his pm.

The event date is given, how about the time?

Schedules will be released after the 28th of Feb 2010.

As usual, typical Malaysian timing isnt helping. If we dont hit the minimum of 8 Teams/Players for any of the tournament titles, we can all go fly kites, come March 5th.

When i looked at the registry, i rofled at CS1.6 too.

2 teams registered and they are outstation teams. Awesome.

But again, we dont hit a minimum of 8 - the game is dropped and i move on.

QuakeLive games are scheduled to be on saturday - however, again, this will be subject to the server availability. With SG servers down, i've been working with some people to try and initialize a Malaysian server. Hopefully we can do a more permanent placement for QL in Malaysia, since it has been announced in several major tournaments, such as ESWC.

oh!you mean manage to get someone to host QL server in Malaysia?

Hmm!you manage to contact SyncError at Quakelive forum?

Here is his Email : Email: syncerror@idsoftware.com

i had a hard time contact him though.

Anyway, connection specification for Quakelive is minimum 100Mbps International Bandwidth.

And yea, you have no control on the server, only specify person allow to run private match, others than that, you cant kick/ban.

Same shit, different year, Haller. How long have we been trying already? Heh.

Falk already commented on it in the CoD4 Section Thread:

So yeah, we dont get the sign ups by the 28th, we're shutting this shit down and everyone else can go fly kites instead.

Hi there,

I've sent emails to a few QL admins, as usual they take very long.

Worse comes to worse, you'd be playing Japan/Korean servers - 100 ping on LAN HAHah...

Or.... we could use the tournament mod for Q3Arena smile.gif still fun + the prizes are still gonna be there anyway.
That however, will be up to Auricom and the QL registrants.

Team List :

CS - 2 (weeee)
COD4 - 7 (yay) - 16 teams are pending though. (this will probably meet the requirements, since we know the cod4 community) Until then, the trigger will stand at RM 1000
QL - 4 (more than CS! Lol), we get 4 more we'll quake. (Most of the prizes are already confirmed, even for QL, however, we do not want to announce them until there is a server than can run things smoothly.

Good News about Crossfire is that, there will be weekly minor cups - ranging from 50 - 100 USD(sponsored by us.. for now) as cash prizes starting April. 8 player/team cups monthly throughout 2010. Although this plan is still within COD4 atm, I may plan to take up QL if the cost for the servers are sustainable.

DuskBin-Nitron and I have been finding ways to bring a QL server to Malaysia and we've tried to contact QL Admin to do so. At the moment, we're still awaiting their reply - as usual.
Do not fret however, as we are still trying our best to bring QL to the tournament and tournaments to come - by displaying your interest in such a game/tournament, it would be easier to approach sponsors and service providers with such an idea.

We're also currently building a platform for such things - cups/tournaments/leagues for as many games as possible and we may link ourselves to not only crossfire.nu, but cybergamer.au and other online leagues, cups and sites. They have agreed to share information with us, so that you as Malaysians will know what upcoming tournaments you may participate in globally.

www.crossfire.my should be up (as a placeholder for now) after CIC7.

Come on only 7 teams for CoD4 O.o , if more teams signs up, its easier for us to setup future online gaming leagues ie: crossfire.my wink.gif

My thoughts exactly - but again, a lot of teams like to sign up last minute - 20% like to sign up AFTER the due date.. reminds me of college and their lecturers.. ironic.

COD4 has official reached their first 8 Teams.

Also, a few reads that might interest you people.
