uncle stimix got more ballz than me hehe. Btw 1 thing good bout satio is satio hackable now and vivaz cannot hack yet. Posted an interesting mod in satio thread that allow tweaking of the processor to run at 600mhz and ui to run at 60fps. Which translate into very fast and smooth symbian exp. Frankly symbian on se phone doen't get as much support as nokia...sad. Also reply from se said that they currently dun hav plan to upgrade vivaz to symbian^3. Imo the best platform now to buy phone is android, i even plan to develope app for android. Thou symbian owned a huge chunk of market share now, if it doesn't get more competitive it's going to get owned and obsolete in the future.

Not all phone user can afford Android's phone price. There are lots of ppl buying NK's cheap phone below RM600... And bearing in mind that NK's 5800XM are top seller in touch phone, beside the apple and it is very attractive at RM1k mark (AP price is far lower).

But anyway Vivaz is still an outstanding SE phone, at least for that price tag. I would recommend to take HTC Legend if you in favour of Android phone.

I don't really prefer pouch as it is hard to hold, still prefer soft phone bag. Anyhow, can try to use it for one week and see how. Hmm... so the little "stand" is actually use to hold the phone in landscape method and watch movie ha? But the stand seem a bit not secure and easily to knock over. Ya, my opinion also is like that for the accessories, think maybe the AP company keep some up and sell it separately to make extra money. Ya ya, mine also come with a screen protector. Even it is not super quality but at least you needn't to fight with the shop and ask for a free one from them.

The lagginess & hang kei esp opening multiple app probably due to the HD video recording bcos everytime switching on HD video, othe app sure gone kuku.

So far no new firmaware update yet from Sony...damn slow..if Nokia, every 1-2 mths new firmware..haizzz..

thats the difference for after sales service nokia vs sony.i very much prefer nokia's after sales service especially 5800.lol.

Well nokia firmware update every now and that but the best part is, some update instead of making the phone better,make it worst.
I think update for Vivaz coming soon just need to hang on awhile more.

Below are some of my finding during the 2 weeks usage of the Vivaz:

1. The phone will perform quite smooth (without much lag) if you are using the phone default theme.
Once you start to download theme from the net and specially those big file size theme, everything will start
to lag. So, "beauty" theme slows thing down, "basic" theme faster in processing.

If you are using the default Standby Theme (the Sony Ericsson rather than the rest like Navigation bar, Full page
and etc...), it seem perform smoother.

2. Video performance. Wow, I must said, this phone is very good with a high quality movie.

I'm using Total Video Converter to convert those avi, mp4, mkv movie i downloaded from the net. Tested on the
"Iron Man" which is in 720p original file size (2GB++). Converted to 640x320 with a video bitrate of 1600kbps and
25 frame/second, using a container of "xvid".
The total converted mp4 file size is around 1GB++. The movie just play back smooth like silk and the sound also
correctly play back. (Some phone will play back, but the sound will 100% out of syn with this high video bitrate)

Tested with another short clip about 4 minutes with the same condition but this time, using the video bitrate of
3200kbps (as the movie original is already in high bitrate). Guess what? Still play back like silky smooth.

To me, this is just like watching blue-ray movie in a much smaller screen of LCD TV.

3. I don't like where the power button at. I'm someone that like to copy file between my PC and the MicroSD card and
I like to copy it via a memory card reader rather than using its USB cable simply because it copy faster. Whenever
I open the back cover, for sure I will accidentally press on the power button and turn on the phone. Ya, I know, I
can take out the memory card without power down the phone, but the point is, the power button still in a place
where it is very easy to accidentally press. Unless you always hold the phone in horizontal way.

The rest seem like working as it should be, happy with the phone so far.

read on gsm saying that vivaz pro is coming to stores today... wonder when will it hit our market...

If vivaz pro I rather take n900. Bigger battery, bigger screen (and bigger keyboard), larger memory...

Only the pricetag n900 higher.

se vivaz pro 1 of the most sexy slid keyboard phone on the market.

se vivaz is a super feature rich smart phone

se vivaz pro got 5mp camera compare to vivaz 8mp and video recording for vivaz is hd compare to vivaz pro.
vivaz pro also a bit thicker than vivaz but still very slim and attractive for a side slid keyboard phone or whatever u all call that type try comparing at gsmarena since non of us r vivaz pro owner

sorry to say that.. u cannot change those shortcut in main menu..xD only those in shortcuts..

cannot change shortcut in the menu screen? i changed mine to other application. the fish aquarium.
just go to settings>personal>theme>wallpaper. got 5 wallpaper right there.

Haha u can change to other wallpaper.. but u cannot change to other application for the main theme.. eg. twitter > facebook.. i think cannot do that rite now.. ><
