ya try already my 2008 N16, max is 150+ km/h my mileage only 67k.

My car rpm drop to very low level around 500rpm til can hear engine noise and a bit of vibrate like not enough fuel supply when I shift to 1st gear, sometimes the noise will dissappear. The noise will come back when stuck in traffic jam, a lot of stop and go at slow speed situation.

do u know whats the problem with my car engine? or is it the timing problem?

Check your throttle body to see if it's dirty... And check your engine idling as well with a diagnostic device, if it's too low, the mech will adjust it accordingly...

Does anyone here knows where can I get replacement disc brakes for N16 Sentra 1.6SG? It is high time that i replace my current stock front pair of disc rotors, and I m looking for a better replacement for the pair. At the moment, it is either ATX discs (from Speedworks) or importing DBA rotors from Australia (costly). Any ideas if I can get good ones in KL, such as Project U or DBA?

I am having problem with my car agn, usually the water temp gauge sit at 1/3 position during normal driving condition, but recently the water temp gauge will show at half position. is that normal?

Besides that, the water spare tank have to be top up every 3-4 days by about 100-200ml of water, coolant is used but unable to find source of leakage. hoses and clips of the engine still flexible and no sign of becoming harden.

I also find there is some white colour mayonnaise like semi solid liquid under the radiator cap. However cross check with the internet , the might have the possibility of a faulty gas gasket. But the symptom that comes along with it is teh tarik colour engine oil , but tht's does not happen yet.

any idea what is wrong with my car?

I got one offer for 2002 version 1.6 (A) : RM40k
Mileage : 150k
Is this reasonable?

My frens been telling me to get new cars instead of used car (sure $$$$ to maintain) I'm quite interested in Sentra 'classy' looks but somehow skeptical if really what my fren said came true.. aiihh...

Budget not really enuff for new Sentra...

yeah, there is a thin film of oil at the surface of the radiator after the radiator cap is opened.
Any idea what's wrong with it?

Seems like there might be a leak in your engine block... Engine oil could be leaking into the engine cooling system... You'll need to open up your engine and check all the gaskets, and also the engine block itself...

hmmm. Thank bro Vanquish, will send my car to the mechanic this weekend. Hope it is not a very serious damage . or else. money will fly again . If the gasket damage, how much does it cost? Engine block damage means have to change engine d?

Gaskets are usually quite expensive parts, but I forgot the price... Yeah, if engine block damage, you're gonna have to change the engine...

well, i purchase the car about 3 months ago. Previous owner got overheat the car b4 or not i am not sure.

But the car works fine throughout the 3 months i am using it , no overheat, no high rev, just a long distance drive for about 2 hours plus from seremban to tapah before continue journey to ipoh.

but when u take over the car got open up the radiator cap to see or not?

yeah i did look at it, but it is fine that time. no residue at all.

recently, my nissan 1.8 GXE got problem with the engine. it's a little more shaky than usual after starting up the engine. you can feel it shake with your right leg at the brake pedal. heard from fren might be the coil is spoil... any sifu has any idea?
