Anyone here can suggest where can I find Nissan N16 1.6 gearbox with installation (Prefer Klang Valley)?
My gearbox going worst nowadays. And need around 5-10 minutes before I can use gear 1 to drive (Can't used D & 2 gear when start to drive).

I'm driving Sentra B14 and when I shift my gear to D, it will take about 5 to 10 seconds before the car will move.
Is my gearbox faulty? Did you manage to change your gearbbox?

Hi all, me considering a 2006 N16 1.8. Can I ask what's the common problems that I should look out for when inspecting the car? Does it have the roof rust problem that the B14 had? Or any other rust areas?

hi boss, try put in D after cold start to see GB good or not. a good one should immediately able to move

There isn’t very good workshop in my area for troubleshooting (e.g. servicing valve body), so try flushing atf else overhauling to solve transmission issue...

Try flush the atf filter n flush the gb oil . i remember my b14 stuck on gear 3 only can shift to gear 4 when rev hard on engine . last month i just send my b14 nissan sentra to scrap metal due to the car cannot renew license gonna miss this car a good quality car

Check the radiator/coolant overflow for rust, make sure it doesn't overheat, if manual check the clutch cable in case it's stretched and check to make sure it goes in all gears, if 1st gear difficult may need new shifter bushing.

Make sure intermittent wiper works (the relay/amplifier for it is like rm 200+) check the horn relay/horn. I had to relocate my button for now until I can get a new steering wheel hub and relay. Right now it's a push button and two wires bypassing the relay.

Check for rust. Check the belts(these were a pain to find) . check the oil and make sure it isn't milky(milky=blown head gasket)

Check all lights work, check air-con, check brakes, suspension and ball joints/bushings/ etc



Basically anything you would check on any other car.

Hard to CHK use to own b14 Sentra for kena car automatic die off at least 6time many mechanic dunno how to CHK I browse thru internet claim is airflow sensor n bingo it fix my problem.n gearbox rev high on 2nd gear b4chge to 3rd gear.

There is a screw on the idle control by the throttle body you can adjust idle with. I adjusted it too low because I had high idle and it died everytime I push in the clutch and let off the gas😂😂
Adjust it a bit higher now everything okay
