the small logo... is it the small green robot (bugdroid) with an exclamation mark inside a triangle?

when you see that sign ( ! inside a triangle with bugroid beside ), you need to press and HOLD Power button and press UP Volume button.

this will show what i posted earlier:

=======================
Android system recovery <2e>

Use trackball to highlight; click to select.

reboot system now
apply sdcard:xxxxx.zip
wipe date/factory reset
wipe cache partition
___________________________________________________

E: cant open /cache/recovery/command

==========================

that "apply sdcard:xxxxx.zip " you will see when you copy the Cyanogen Mod on the root directory of your SD CARD (in zip format), make sure no other zip files are in root.

****what i dont understand is the above "E: cant open..." message thats showing on my phone.

i think its best you ask out in xda forums. - XDA forum - CM 5.0.4

Yes the sequence is important; need to hold the trackball first, don't let go, then press the power button once, and let go. Don't let go of the trackball until you see the screen.

Hi..
Is it necessary to apply screen protector on N1 since the screen originally is scratch resistant. ?

anyone here tried DCMUGEN screen protector? ANy opinion?

Me. tongue.gif
I even applied it in the bathroom, after like more than 15 minutes of sweating like mad, I still messed up with dust underneath it. Felt like an idiot LOL.
Don't get me wrong I still stick it on (tho its ugly as hell with some scratched surface), it feels good. The touch sensitivity is just fine and no more finger prints!

Am using the Clear dcmugen SP.

I can't get a stable 3G internet connection if I don't set my phone to WCDMA only . After awhile when switching between EDGE and 3G , it will just completely die out

This is sickening

gavind87, are you using DiGi?

how's the htc hero screen protector? cover's most of the screen?

Added on March 3, 2010, 8:59 amguys i read from some instructions, when applying screen protectors/skins, they use solutions (water with washing liquid/soap??) and dip in the SP, allow the excess to drip, then apply on the phone, after that use card/linear object to scrape out bubble/excess liquid D:

is that even safe? i mean wont the liquid be left in between the SP and the screen?? lolz. i'm afraid the moisture will seep in the phone!

to be honest, i tried running my DCMugen Clear SP under the tap water haha, then i let it drip until most of the water is gone, and i applied on my phone screen, but after a few seconds, i thought to myself, "are you sure???" i backed out in the end tongue.gif mopped dry the water and everything LOL just aint brave enough to do it.

i just tried sending an mms (16kb) the status shows received.

will confirm with the recipient if the mms really reached.

Added on March 3, 2010, 10:30 amyes confirm receiver got the mms.

guys i dunno, but sometimes digi mms sucks when i send it, might take like 1 or 2 days to reach, but thats my experience.

maybe try with smaller size mms? lesser than 20kb?

Added on March 3, 2010, 10:32 ammy God..

i just received an mms, its sent by myself to my own phone (test mms).

only that its like sent a week +++ ago???

this is madness! >:D

does this mean that the action of me sending mms just now, triggered the old mms that was not sent many moons ago? sweat.gif

@davidwyl - yes there is Google PinYin available in android market FREE. its cool, i'm using it.

----------------------

and guys, yes i'm using DiGi, i msned my wife after like one minute and she confirmed received my mms. i think digi has trouble sending large mms... try lowering the size of your mms just for testing purpose like under 20kb?

another thing, when you look at your APN list, does your digimms show the button? it shouldnt, it should be in like passive mode, as in NO selection button. coz you put MMS in your APN type. at least thats how it is for me.

I'm using this and it works great with default picture sizing.
You will need to set the DiGi Internet properly in order for the MMS to work. I'm not sure about others. But, my MMS only works after I made change on my DiGi Internet APN. Remember to select DiGi Internet as ur APN.

bro may I know whats that "supl" mean in the digi internet apn type? supplementary? what does it do? smile.gif

Added on March 3, 2010, 11:55 ami notice you have an extra port in diginet - 9201
gonna try that out to see if it improves my 3G, currently its just unstable for me hahaha.

thanks for the input!

I'm not sure about the exact usage of supl apn type. I read somewhere in xda about this. Can't remember where though. If i'm not wrong, it's for AGPS to work properly.
I have DiGi GPRS also. Maybe need this also.

Name: DiGi GPRS
APN: digiwap
Proxy: 203.92.128.188
Port: 80
Username: digi
Password: digi
MCC: 502
MNC: 16
APN type: default
*
Bro, do you select diginet only?
coz I added digiwap also last time, but I find I can only select one apn, either diginet or digiwap to take effect.

Hi musz78,

i mean is there any way to make it like mms to be in passive mode (without button in the selection screen)

hmmm... why not like this, i send you one mms, if you willing, pm me your number, then you forward the same mms back to me. see if it works.

it sounds funny, but it might work to "kick start" your mms.. i dunno man lolz.

yes the mms is not related to root... my phone is rooted, but still can send and receive mms.

enlothien, sorry bro, couldnt solve your problem. to get the google maps navigation, you can try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583123
(pls tell me if this link is not allowed i will remove it.)

its not perfect tho, i used it before, find the voice takes some time to load, and sometimes none at all haha.. and there is no street name on top.
furthermore, my gps keeps disconnecting i dont know why.

also, a Nexus One gathering would be great! biggrin.gif
