mox123~ i just look into the APN setting~ just wanna confirm that which part have to been removed if i only need MMS service~ ?
Hi, from what I understand the APN which use for MMS is set with APN type = mms.........for Digi, there's separate setting for internet and mms.......I beleive I can just remove the APN for internet access and remain mms APN so that I use for sending mms only. However, I have not tried it myself and it might or might not work tongue.gif

As for Maxis, there's only one APN setting with APN type = default,mms.......so I thaught I can just set APN Type=mms for sending mms only......apperantly it did not work as one of the member here have tried it sad.gif

Hi, is flashing the radio necessary for CM5.0.5.2? Can I simply skip that procedure? Reason is, I have read many problems from users who have tried to flash their radios (not able to start, hang at boot, etc).

Also, been doing a bit of reading but cant seem to find an answer for this. Whats included inside Google Addon. I understand its optional, but what are the benefits should I choose to flash it into my N1?

Shahz, how is the 3G reception on CM5.0.5.2?

And CM5.0.5.3 just came out...whoa.

No necessary to flash the radio because I heard the latest one is no different than the old one.......if you want to flash it, make sure you understand the instruction and do it carefully.

Google Addon will include all the goggle default application such as Maps, Talk, MP3 Amazon and others. The CM mod can run with or without all these default applications......if you want to include these applications, just flash the addon after you completed flashing the radio and rom.

Hi bro, there's plenty of guide (including 1st page of this thread) of how to doing this, no need to pay people la :-) In fact, is better you do it your self and understand what you're doing because once you had rooted your phone your phone, there's so much other things you can do, like flashing new kernel, new launcher screen, new theme, new morph, new notification bar.....on top of this whatever things you had updated, there's always got new version down the road.......are you going to pay RM50 every time you need update!!!

So, my suggestion is try to understand, do it yourself and you'll also get plenty of help around here and LDC forum icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi, this problem happened to me before and that's because I didn't install the Taiwan map (the Taiwan map should download and copy to "Nav/Maps/TW" folder). After that I only copy the MFM files to replace TW files (Pls follow the instruction of what files you should or should not copy plus some files rename).
