Tried doing a soft reset but its still slow.. also tried disable and enable in garmin but still the same... Is there other place where we can disable and enable back the GPS port?
*
1. launch garmin.
2. tap the gps signal bars at top left corner
3. tap disable.
4. use immediate driver for the gps port.
5. tap enable.

ensure to plug in the headset before launching the FM radio. also you need to be at higher location to get the clear reception.

Without the HTC patch, 2.08.50.08_2 Radio produces noise during a call. The best radio on my device (as long as the tweaked ROM is compatible) is 2.09.51.03 Radio.

But currently, running CleanEX v4.00 with 2.08.50.08_2 Radio gives delightful outcome to my HD2.

this smaller brother doesn't have the front camera. but the big brother has it. look for HTC EVO 4G. its under Sprint telco.
PC Fair is promoting HD2 @ RM2499. if you can get 0% interest installment, grab it. unless you can get it from singapore...

the only reason i'm staying with WM is the GPS solution. iPhone OS 3 & Android 2.1 lacking voice navigation and most importantly UPDATED Malaysia map. Only if I'm staying in the United States, my device will definitely be an Android. the voice search tool in Google Navigator is Garmin & PaPaGo killer.

And PaPaGo is not free for ANY platforms....OVI maps for Symbian and Google Navigator are FREE and will be the ultimate mobile GPS clients in the future...Hopefully Google Nav will be free for iPhone OS 4... Until Google Nav map is here in Malaysia (or near-by regions), we will continuosly rely on MFMaps and MSMaps as well as installing 'ahem' version of Garmin & PaPaGo into our devices be it WM, WP7, iPhone, Blackberry, Android, MeeGo, Meamo, Symbian^x, Bada, Palm WebOS, bla-bla-bla... (mobile OS wars is interesting.... Android FTW!)

Garmin & PaPaGo developers should see the treats from OVI maps and GooNav. They have no choice but to make it FREE in the end... But all this will change if the users are depending primarily on the standalone GPS device.

in Malaysia, the data charges are so expensive that using google navigator is more expensive than buying papago/garmin.
*
Correct! Not until GooNav is treated as standalone mobile GPS client, depending 100% on unstable & poor coverage over-the-air data connection here in Malaysia is not a wise choice. That's why Garmin & PaPaGo can still survive the market today.

Sooner or later, all passenger cars will have standard GPS module which will only rely on standalone maps. By then, our built-in GPS receiver in phones will be used for pedestrian mode only. For this case, we will only buy those cars that support MFMaps or MSMaps data.

Take note that GPS is not used only for navigation purpose. The TeleAtlas & Layar collaboration (like the Samsung Galaxy S ... and this is Android OS apps) is another solution for the future.

In order for Garmin to work, you need to set the GPS driver to "Intermediate Driver" and not to any ports at all.

define 'Flawlessly' please ?  tongue.gif ...cos ive been using Jabra BT3030 from day one i bought my HD2...and I think its ok fer an average Joe like me... cool.gif ...some may argue bout the 'steel' lanyard provided...but ive changed it, using my office's, so it sticks together with my office's pass card... nod.gif
*
Flawlessly = out of the box, the headset is excellent for inbound-outbound calls, listening to movie/music and voice dialing/command enabled WITHOUT changing from Windcomm to Microsoft bluetooth stack.

Badai, RkWan,

Hey guys, thanks for your suggestions. Tried the smtp 587 thing, but still no go. Badai, yea, looks like i have to go for your suggestion. %#@@ streamyx! Again, thanks guys. Appreciate it smile.gif

I have no issue sending email via streamyxl account. just ensure you activate the "outgoing requires authentication..." at the SMTP setting. no need to set to port 587.

Dgtel2,

Hey, thanks for your feedback. Yea, i did set the outgoing authentication thing. Hmm..maybe its my daily ROM flashing that screwed it up. Let me try again smile.gif
*
if everything failed, use smtp as roam.tm.net.my . ensure to activate the outgoing authenticate.

Dgtel,

Goodness, that worked! U are a genius bro!! Thanks. U made my day rclxms.gif How on earth did you dig that up?

Thanks to Google...the Android maker and Microsoft-killer...

I'm encouraging you to abort Streamyx email account as it is not reliable. Switch to Google account and you can do backups for calendar and address book / contacts.

why when i use gps .celcom charge me????  how to setting back use internal gps only?? my previous nokia can setting either want use agps or not... isk...  ;(

just disable data service on your HD2. But how did Celcom know the data is from GPS. If you use Google Maps to navigate, of course data service is required. but if you use Garmin, no data service is required. A-GPS by default is disabled in HD2. So to be safe, totally disable the data connection in Hd2.
