QUOTE(Aurora @ Feb 11 2010, 09:05 AM) Ouucchhh... careful not to fry the motherboard....Added on February 11, 2010, 9:21 am QUOTE(Aurora @ Feb 11 2010, 09:05 AM) This, i'm totally over it, if it's going to happen. But not sure though if garmin/papago would want to enter android market. I see a lot of other s/w developers have yet to enter the market. http://www.gsmarena.com/touchscreen_smartp...d-news-1437.phpThis report will convince developers to kick-start pushing products to support Android. WinMo is "dying" slowly unless WinMo7 does magic just like Symbian (Symbian is open-source now....) This post has been edited by dgtel2: Feb 11 2010, 09:22 AM |

Another leaked Radio 2.08.50.05 from XDA forum.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HUX1Q70V (Recommended) or http://uploading.com/files/4fm74616/LEOIMG.NBH/ BEFORE START, BACK-UP YOUR DATA! To install (at your risk! Plus void your 2-year warranty): 1) Install Hard SPL at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433 2) Rename the file to "leoimg.nbh" 3) Copy it to SD card root directory 4) Shut down HD2. 5) Press-Hold "Volume Down" button + "Power On" Button THEN in 2 seconds release "Volume Down" Button. 5) Follow on-screen instruction. 6) Press reset button. Tested on my unit having 1.66 Base ROM. No issue so far. This post has been edited by dgtel2: Feb 12 2010, 11:05 PM |

The CustomRRU method may not work SOMETIMES. That's why use SD Card method to be on the safe side.
Did you guys manage to get the 576MB RAM enabled with this new 2.08 Radio? Mine doesn't under 1.66 stock ROM. This post has been edited by dgtel2: Feb 12 2010, 11:07 PM |

Yes. A few "guinea pig" users suffer the corrupted file issue.

@maesus, congrats on your achievement. If you got the time, I'm still waiting for a chef to produce All-Black ROM.
All-Black will consume much less battery juice. Currently, when we create new SMS, the background is WHITE. The keyboard also WHITE. The Sense Settings layout/details also WHITE. All this WHITISH background (even the "HTC - Quietly Brilliant" boot image) will drain the 1230mAh significantly. And this also what iPhone unit problem as well. All-white theme kills the iPhone battery so fast! A good example will be Samsung Omnia II UI. "Almost" All-Black theme saves the battery (with the help of AMOLED screen too). Therefore, @maesus, grant my wish....LOL...TOTAL-BLACK Custom ROM This post has been edited by dgtel2: Feb 13 2010, 12:06 AM |

QUOTE(wroof @ Feb 13 2010, 10:03 PM) why my hd2 alway pop out the error msg such as service.exe and device.exe ? wat happen le ? it is laggy .. everyday have to open the bak cover n soft reset it .. 1 day around 3 to 4 time .. need some advise.. Or... you can uninstall one-by-one all softwares to see which triggers the problem. But, in the end, hard reset is the "best" overall solution. |

Mine are exactly like that having blue, purple, dark pink and milk colours. Non-branded-made-in-China resin case.

QUOTE(wroof @ Feb 15 2010, 03:38 PM) i have a question .. wat radio u all saying ? the fm radio or wat ?? can teach me ? Not FM radio. The radio that we are discussing is regarding ROM image radio. It's a component that is required when the unit receive GSM/WCDMA signal (and more the likes...). The direct benefits of applying new radio MAY include (but not limited to) better reception, better battery lifespan, better WCDMA connection, etc.If you are new to radio/ROM flashing (aka upgrading), you should not take the risks. You may want to try to explore the theories first at XDA forum. Added on February 15, 2010, 4:22 pm QUOTE(cruzzmz @ Feb 15 2010, 01:58 PM) epikcase black resin ... I'm still looking for other resin case colours like yellow, orange, apple green, etc.BTW i have flashed the 2.08 radio to my HD2 For the new 2.08 radio, did you notice greater signal reception and faster 3G connection? To my surprise, after applying the 2.08 radio, my device can still connect to GSM mode in the elevator, which previous radio(s) could not achieve. QUOTE(Fornx @ Feb 22 2010, 06:30 PM) I'm dling BsB Tweak right now. From what I see from the xda-developers forum, it requires NETCFv35.. Hmm, is it true? And where to transfer those BsB Tweak and NET files to in the phone? Should I extract both the files before transferring into my phone? Help please!! Totally clueless. Thanks! 'Spoon-fed' steps:1) Install Registry Editor for HD2 (http://freewareppc.com/utilities/phmregistryeditor.shtml). 2) Install .NET 3.5 into HD2. 3) Reboot HD2. 4) Launch Registry Editor. 5) Find the following registry to enable .NET 3.5 and disable 2.0: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework 6) Reboot HD2. 7) Install BSB Tweak. |

QUOTE(wroof @ Mar 4 2010, 07:05 PM) yaya .. it is awesome .. now learning how to flash my radio ?? any advantages and disadvantages of doing so ? Disadvantage = void the 2-year warrantyAdded on March 5, 2010, 5:35 am QUOTE(yop da great @ Mar 5 2010, 03:07 AM) hi guys, i have some questions here.. im looking for phone which can replace the function of my pc while im travelling.. so does this phone qualify for those tasks? actually im planning to download some videos, watch some series (using the built in flash player) and do some extraction of zip or rar files with this phone.. whut wud u guys say? All three models can do what you've mentioned (with 3rd party apps in some cases). If you need more functions, HD2 (WinMo) is the best. Milestone (Android) and N900 (Maemo) cannot install Garmin MXT (unless you prefer other GPS clients). HD2 CPU is 1GHz with big 4.3" screen suit your desire of watching videos/series. FYI, I primarily use HD2 with the same objectives as yours...lol...btw, im stucked between hd2, milestone, and n900 Added on March 5, 2010, 5:36 am QUOTE(DAAK @ Mar 4 2010, 06:34 PM) "Big" 4.3"...... very very very...naughty....lolThis post has been edited by dgtel2: Mar 5 2010, 05:36 AM |
