I am a previous (well current owner) of the o2 XDA Zinc.

Recently my phone is dying on me (random shut down, random crashes, etc) after being almost 3 years in service (and yeah I dropped it a few time ~_~.

Am looking for a possible replacement now, so far being torn against the HD2 (I can live without having a physical keyboard now after playing too much with SPB Keyboard, and I believe WinMo 6.5 has a similar virtual keyboard) or any Android based phone >_<"

Android or back to WinMo 6.5 (HD is going to have WinMo 7 from what I heard), torn between these two choices.

So wanted to ask current owners of HD2, how the performance and stability so far? Is there any major bugs that currently not solved?

Added on February 7, 2010, 5:14 pmBTW I heard HD2 price was slashed recently, but not in Malaysia yet. Any rumours saying the price slash might hit Malaysia?

Thanks XD

If got price slash coming, I'll live with my old phone crashing every now and then until the price is adjusted XD

Added on February 7, 2010, 5:16 pmAnd sorry another question.

How is the interface for the HD2? I think it is called HTC Sense (iinm).

How is it compared to, let's say SPB Mobile Shell 3.5?

I've been using SPB Mobile Shell for all this time and I can say I love to every bit.

If the HTC default interface is compareable to it, then I see no point of getting Mobile Shell into the HD2 =D

Thanks again.

I answer on SPB Mobile Shell

iv installed it (Mobile Shell on my HD2) and use it instead of HTC Sence .

Its my preference over HTC Sence even though iv both running at once with the help of TFDetacher. (easy to switch between the two > go below to try)

You get the best of both worlds > I'm so accustomed to SPB MS , i find it easy to use and so Blazing fast on HD2. rclxms.gif

Check out this link http://www.mobilehornet.com/archives/3198 drool.gif

look for evilpuppy,

he is doing a bulk on NOREVE casing - here.

Waiting for bro Aurora to bulk the HD2 car holder from ebay seller - here.

I am using matte SP from AskarPerang - here

The matte SP quite good in term of quality. Been using it for weeks and found no scratches at all smile.gif

A few of our LYN members confirmed that its scratch proof, refer to previous posts.

But still most of us prefer to add an extra layer of protection for this expensive baby biggrin.gif drool.gif

Use resin case la tongue.gif

protects the whole phone except screen tongue.gif

Just apply a screen protector and you're fully protected.

and resin case does improve the grip so your HD2 wont slip
off your hand easily biggrin.gif

You still have to cost in your transport costs ( unless you are in JB). Anyway official retail in Spore ( non-telco commit sets ) is around S$1188 with 8gb card and extra battery. Price quite similar ( if not only slightly cheaper). The spare battery costs about S$65. If you have Spore friend contact and can "persuade" them to recontract a new line, usually 24 months contract from their telcos - you can have it for S$500-600 ( depend on telco). Used sets in Spore about 1-2 months selling about S$850-$920
