Yes I heard that. Cameron is STILL laughing all the way to the bank no matter what people say about the plot of his movie. He who has the last laugh.....laugh the loudest?

Just don't say the movie sucks later lah if you watch from other "not approved" means. The movie shines ONLY in 3D. Good luck to pirates next time when we move fullspeed to 3D.

To each his own I guess. Avatar isn't just a movie, it's an event. After we moved on and when look back at when acceptance of 3D as a breakaway media in public entertainment begins, that point in time would likely be the very day Avatar debuted. Personally, I'd like to participate as much in significant historical events like these, something to tell your grandkids when I'm wrinkled and old later.
I can be as stubborn and against the flow when it comes to my entertainment selection, but I believe Avatar's appeal and praise is universal. That amount of box-office tally cannot lie. |

Dulu kereta daddy pun tak boleh terbang," QUOTE(ajis @ Jan 27 2010, 03:55 PM) QUOTE(viledante @ Jan 27 2010, 03:56 PM) QUOTE(PhoenixByte @ Jan 27 2010, 03:59 PM) i watched in 2D only..still great what as long as it's on the big screen Yup agree. Avatar is an event movie, and as deserving its reputation as such, can only be properly savored on the big screen, 2D or 3D irregardless.why u watch on batuk dvd kyo? must report ur kedai To the rest who had not watched, it is not about being with the "in" crowd, or like "sheeps falling prey to the popular culture", it's more of being part of history. Other movies wont be remembered as much as Avatar itself. |

The problem is, unpredictable stories are not received well by the general public. Mulholland Drive, Donnie Darko, The Machinist, and The Usual Suspects are not exactly box-office giants but are hailed for their off-the-wall plotlines.

It's cool to go against the flow. But better when you have no other convictions other than the sole reason that you don't believe the "flow" and no other ulterior motives.

I'm open to every other options as well, just that minimalistic looks jives well with me, and Apple does minimalistic well. I also hit the other extreme end, with the complexity and over-aggresiveness of Alienware. The world is a much better place when you don't subscribe to just one end of the playing field.

QUOTE(aiyish @ Jan 29 2010, 12:06 PM) man, i wish i can own those awesome alienware high-end PC's. Alienware M11x. USD799. Very affordable.Yes, don't be fanbois. Every product has its pros and cons. I may be not fond with Apple but no other company can match the looks on their product, no matter how dumb they name their product..(iPad, like seriously, haha). A lot of the "dun want Apple" remarks are because the environment Apple operates in is alien to most people who had grown up with Windows. We all know how uncertainties breed fear, and fear leads to easy hate. |

Yes, i grew up with windows but i've been using a mac since college, those old colourful imacs. Use it for our design assignments coz we are not provided with PC's. I've used both and im leaning towards windows because its accessibility. I dun hate apple, just not fond with it Pinjam duit? The same person who gave up his LAX trip last November gets another LAX next month, and we could only arrange swap of duty by yesterday. I'll be in LA until 6th though(7th Malaysian time). |

LOL, but yeah, flight sim enthusiasts can go overboard with their setups. Multiple displays, throttles and hydraulically-moving sims? Why not buy a plane straight away?
