btw, may I ask, if I update firmware to v40, hard reset phone + format memory card, will my GPS be able to restore and use if I restore from my previous back up?
or would it better if I reinstall everything back one by one since I ady hard reset + format MC?

i dun think i got prob in installing the apps i use currently, but would be facing problems in installing the Garmin since i still dont quite understand the steps in FP

slider unlock , previously need to slide twice to unlock, now slide 10 times also cannot unlock, it just turn the screen on only!

hehe. i was having that problem too. it looks ugly with a hole there. but its in the accesories. juz organize it and put in root. and organise it to the previous download icon

Just updated mine.

- Custom installed app shortcuts all ended up in Apps folder.
- Ovi Store and Ovi Contacts is compulsory now and automatically installed.
- New Contacts HS! Dialer and Contacts buttons now appear at bottom of screen... all older custom themes won't look nice here so have to wait for new batch of themes.
- Kinetic scrolling, very cool and convenient.
- Upon startup after upgrade, phone sent an SMS to My Nokia.
- Automatic switch to keyboard from alphanumeric keyboard when in landscape mode.
- After selecting an item, then selecting it again to open it, there will be a blink effect. Again, not implemented in custom themes so far.
- Phone Switch now under settings instead of Apps.

hmmm... i'm still not yet updated to the latest v40, but from experience the Apps should be fine on firmware update, for Garmin i will suggest u do below:

1. Copy your whole garmin folder into your PC
2. Update the phone firmware
3. Install back Garmin
4. Copy back and overwrite the Garmin folder with the backup copy

this will ensure the garmin is install within the new system, and when u overwrite the whole garmin folder with backup it will restore back your garmin as what is it before.

bro if that the case it will be the apps depedent error not the firmware lah...

wuuuuuu.... the contacts bar can add more then 4 contacts and is KS enable

will update to v40 soon. right now i'm at office, line slow.
