Soft Reset will clear pending errors and bring your mobile to an initial state by restoring Factory setting. To operate this function on your mobile, the shortcut is: *#7380#

This function apparently works on almost all nokia mobile phones.
Hard Reset

It may happen that despite you have restored your mobile to factory setting, the error still exist. In this case, it is recommended that you opt for Hard reset

Enter the code: *#7370# and press Yes to confirm initialization.

Important Notice: It is recommended that you save all important information on your phone (e.g: memo, contacts etc)

got limited? i dunno, i've just done my 1st hard reset also, xm done about 3-4 times i guess in 3-4 months haha
now i'm reformating my memory card see my problem still occur or not

An update. Updated the firmware.
My phone kept turning itself off at the Nokia logo screen. Solved by removing memory card.
Tried to apply Rompatcher patches, keeps turning itself off or freezes. Tried this 4 times then gave up.

Hard reset and memory card reformat for me sad.gif

yes, after reformat memory card and ahrd reset, my tube working fine now
gps locking noticeable faster now

Are u using shortcut bar?
Change it to cantact bar and u will see the new HS.

owh dang! i try to hack v40 but stuck at unpacking files. now i'm left additional H drive. owh dang!

i did a soft reset. than its back to nornal. smile.gif

Added on January 14, 2010, 3:48 amnow ive juz restored my tube. now the nokia ovi icon not there. huhu. now less one icon in my home key.

hmm.gif the hs icon can be customized wat.... i don have the ovi there since day1...

will wait 4 fota coz too lazzy to wait for download....
anyway... abit sad tat it ppl say don have ks in the menu... still have to use scroll bar in the menu... cry.gif

Will let you know that in a sec. N97 have kenetic scrolling nearly everywhere including MENU.

cool tested the 5800XM it have kenetic scrolling in the contact like N97.
No kenetic scrolling in MENU of 5800XM vs N97 have
Kinetic scrolling in smses.
Kinetic scrolling in gallery and music
