somebody told me the "integrated gps" is almost useless if the "assisted gps" is not enabled, is it true?

Not true, on v40, I reinstalled Garmin and went out to have a cold lock (initial lock), took around 40 seconds with I-GPS alone.

I tried it and it seems the answer is yes.
Not sure for new fW though.

It only useless if you're using the gps at a particular area for the 1st time.

changing to memory card will make my messaging laggy and it consume alot of time to transfer memory => memory card.
i just wanted to copy my phone memory message to either PC or memory card without much hassle and used back phone memory as my message inbox storage.
anyway thx for the suggestion notworthy.gif

err. Nope.

Integrate GPS depend solely on the GPS "antenna" inside the phone which used for locking the signal from the satellite.
Whereas assisted GPS used to help the process of locking the signal from satellite much faster by using a signal from cellular tower (known as base-station; tower used to transmit cellular carrier for e.g. Celcom, Digi, Maxis, etc).

So, it depends on you either if u wanna enable the "assisted gps" or not. If u wanna make the process of locking the satellite signal much faster, then enable it. Beside, the charged only juz a few cents. Who cares. thumbup.gif

yups, Nokia give trial for 7 days and after that u need to purchase a license key in order to use it. Unless if u use 5800 Navigation Edition, then the Nokia Maps is FOC for ur whole life. biggrin.gif

As for me, I prefer to use Garmin software. Much simpler and easier, and the maps are always up to date. icon_rolleyes.gif

Nope. The license given are already intact with the IMEI of the phone. Means whenever u wanna used the OVI maps, it'll first check ur IMEI number either it belongs to Navigation Edition or normal 5800.
