Arigato gozaimas, Ahtiven-sama.
You've really surfed a lot of Japanese shopping sites, haven't you?

That final comment was not reassuring though. Any other feedback from others?
I really wouldn't like to pay for something that:
a) is not in the condition I thought it was, and
b) is not described properly by Google Translate.

Has anyone tried Rakuten for Zoids shopping? Any ideas how it works?

Anyone built and decorated their D-style Ultrasaurus? Any tips on how to make it beautiful?

That Taobao site - Is it like Yahoo! Japan where you have to bid?
I have to admit, the prices for original Zoids there aren't on the cheap side.
As always, Shipping and Handling are extra concerns, I guess?

@ahtiven:
Give me some time to look at this Taobao animal. What's the ordering procedure?

Er, why is RM380 a slap in the face of Gildragon? Maybe the stickers made it that expensive?

I hope the price for Ultrasaurus included the shipping too? Not too bad then considering the RM800 on Taobao.

Good day, salamxaphic.

Have not seen any STK Liger Zero on Taobao but there is a Zero Schneider.
I'm not sure if that STK version will include parts to build a Liger Zero basic white.
From what I've seen of the Kotobukiya Schneider, you only get to build that one type since some other white parts are not included, I think.

What Zoids have you built so far?

RM50 for a built Ultrasaurus is pretty good, especially if shipping is included. Sad to hear that it's missing a non-mechanical piece. At least it functions, eh? To have a non-moving, non-bowing Ultrasaurus - now, that would be a tragedy. Would you believe that some people would still charge over RM100 for one in that state? Sheesh.

I was not around when Gildragon and all the motorised Zoids goodies invaded K.L. 2006-2007 was a good year, yes? In Kuching, the biggest one I saw was Gordos. Oh, and Deadly Kong.

Anyone know where to look for the RRP of TOMY Zoids? If you can throw in those for OERs and Zoids2, I'd be really grateful. I really should go looking for those Zoids catalogue and Fanbook stuff that came with the models. Unfortunately, I don't think Zoids2 and OER model kits had those extras marketing items.

Woohoo! Another new name at LYN Zoids.

25 years ago, eh? Should be a good time to start then since Zoids 30th Anniversary is up next year. Hopefully TakaraTomy will bring out something special.

@snoopcow:
Do you still have your collection from those long ago days? I'm guessing Megatopros must have been one of your Zoids.

@ahtiven:
RM99 for those big buggers? Sounds like 50% discount.
Make sure you use toothbrush and damp cloth to clean the Ultrasaurus. I found the hard way that rinsing Zoids pieces in a pail of water is not kind to their decals.

OOOOHhhhh...check out this Zoids flick on YouTube, as announced by our ZP friends.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_nccfIpWuI

I think it's a fan-made episode but the Zoids are updated to Kotobukiya's HMM!

Megatopros! How I wish I did not abuse you so long, long ago.
Too bad the white on those Zoids really change colour with the years.

Happy hunting for the 1/24-scale Zoids, y'all.
In case you will be buying them built, just remember that the WAVE series have the translucent orange pieces instead of all clear blue (e.g Deathpion "eyes"). The good bonus with those WAVE Zoids is that you get to assemble and paint your special edition accessory pilot.

@hellcutespawn:
You got the Fuzors Gojulas Giga? Nice one. If ever you can modify it to put blinking LEDs on its shoulders, please do share. I really want to do that to the PKB Zoids.

Regarding your Soul Tiger, since you've tested the motor and it runs okay, it does sound like an assembly issue.
Maybe the pegs aren't going into the correct holes? It could also be due to those F12-F15 pieces. Maybe they're not interchangeable as I thought.
Since each leg is attached individually, maybe switch ON the motor after you cap each leg down, just to make sure it articulates.

Any news from the non-English websites about further upcoming Zoids? Specifically for the 30th anniversary next year?

I also need help in translation services for the Kotobukiya blog on Harry Champ's Dark Horn. It looks like the Gold will be moulded, not painted.
Does it say if the kit will come with TWO each of the Hyperbeam cannons and Gatling?

There's something not quite right about this Liger. It's a body swap with Murasame, isn't it?

Sifu Ed - not getting these rings?

Cheap. RM470 each if bought at Kotobukiya office/shop in Akihabara and limited to only 30 pieces per design.
Anyone going there this weekend?

If anyone has any ideas about where to get Graphics Orudios, please PM me.

@General_Nic:
I saw the full HMM Liger + Jager set at Fantasy Toys Low Yat.
Cannot remember the price though.

Gilvader in D-style! I won't be surpised if it came out for real sometime soon.
Would be interesting how they will interpret HammerRock, if they get round to doing it.

Any Momoko D-saurer/Ultra being released?

That Momoko D-style Liger Mirage has a misleading cover. From other images I've seen, the canopy is a freaking Lime Green! Or is that for the Momoko Leon Bladey? I had thought it was OJR brown style but I guess it would look great if you recolour the Liger to the Asia Night & Forest type.

@Ahtiven: Got the Ultrasaurus working already, eh? Let me know how you can get the eyes to work without having to switch ON the motor ala OJR Ultra, okay?

Has anyone managed to get the TOMY Deathsaurer to light up its eyes without switching ON the motor too?

Those bootleg D-style Bladeys really do come in some funky colours. Wonder what variants we will see the Deathsaurer and Ultrasaurus? If for nothing else, the alternative colours of clear parts makes for some exciting customisation.

Question for all owners - what do you think of the Graphics Lidier and Gungyarados? Are they worth the almost vintage prices, do you feel?

Also - forgot to ask: anyone have a spare Clear Gojulas or Custom Blox Killer Bee or Genesis Brastle? PM me your price, please.

Cutesy Mirage with the glowy canopy!
Those bootlegs do look good after all that work. Hopefully they'll get around to the Horns so that we can have cheap Gatling and Beam cannon.

For those with money to spare - how about this nice, little Liger for your collection?

Seriously - noone can help with the Zoids that I'm looking for?
Wow. I guess I've underestimated the amount of remaining non-Koto Zoiders here. *sniffle*

How about those tiny, clear pilots from either the Holotech Gojulas or Biomegaraptor? Anyone have spares they don't need? Want to put them into my clear Horn and Molga.

You guys sure are lucky to be able to get your desired Kotobukiya Zoids.
Congratulations on the haul, hitsugayat10. I think being a Liger Zero base, the armour clips and poseability should be quite sturdy.

I remember seeing HMM Schneider or its parts probably at Time Machine but that was a couple of months back. You can check out Fantasy Toys too and maybe those shops at e@Curve?

Some Kotobukiya Zoids are being reissued too if you missed out on them previously. Naomi Gun Sniper, Irvine Command Wolf and Red Saber Tiger are due for end of this month, I think.

None of you happen to have motorised Zoids you are looking to let go, are you?

It's a pity to know that the HMM Liger Zero still has snap-happy plastic.
I thought that Kotobukiya would have perfected their plastic's formula already.

@hitsugayat10: HMM Rayse? Maybe they could do something like Bandai's GN Drives?
I would be more excited if they could make flourescent fluid to flow inside hollow tubes and other cavities of the tiger.

Why, oh why, Kotobukiya?
Are Bandai plastics and parts really of better manufactured quality?
How are kids supposed to play with their D-style Zoids now?

@KPG123: I'm glad you found your way back to LYN Zoids.
Nothing much has been happening on the Zoids front but I do hope you'll stick around.

In regards to replacement parts for HMM Zoids - I believe each model comes with a parts order form? Maybe a fellow LYN member can help with ordering spares from Japan. I know there are some on Tradezone who helps to buy and ship stuff from Japanese websites and stores. I don't know if the shipping and fees are going to be much less than getting a new kit locally though.
Please let us know how it goes as other Zoiders here seem to have problems with their HMM kits.

In the meantime, anyone read anything new from the non-English websites about Zoids?

Sir Edmaestro! Your collection sleeping, huh?
Did you get the Kotobukiya Zoids rings to summon them as you wish? tongue.gif
Thanks for the slideshow - but what happened to the Red Mammoth the Destroyer? Why did its tail have the red circle?

@hitsugayat10:
No difference in the white of the stock HMM Zero and Jager? Just like the motorised kits then. Good tip regarding trimming the sprues over the box. Looks a lot less messy then my plain newspaper.

@KPG123: Motorised Zoids will make a comeback - I just HAVE to believe it.
30th anniversary next year may pop-up something new but *sigh* it will probably be an expensive recolour of an existing mold. I'm hoping for the Valga Gravide Mk-II.

Welcome, Collin to LYN Zoids. Er...which one is your nick again?

@Edmaestro: Did you happen to get those Kotobukiya Zoids rings?
If you have any leads on Genesis Brastle for sale, PM me, please.

For those who thought it was a cruel hoax:

Dōin suru, Shadōfokkusu!!

@Edmaestro:
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who's looking forward to seeing motorised Zoids making a come back. I love seeing their mechanisms at work.

In the meantime...who's scared of a light-up mouthed Deathsaurer?

Welcome aboard, ShiNocturne

I think it will be a long, long while before Kotobukiya works on HMM Murasame and Soul Tiger. For the motorised kits - there's always online shopping but dang! shipping hurts.

@ahtiven:
Selling BDS? Nooooooooooooooo.....!
SGD500 very tempting also.

@cryonic:
C and C...now I get it.
You wouldn't happen to have the motorised Gojulas MK-II Limited/Unlimited lying around, would you?
I'm glad to hear your Subang outing was very profitable.

Interesting looking 1/108.
Are these going to be smaller model kits like HMMs or pre-made Revoltech style toys? Whether or not it is bootleg - since Tomy-Takara owns the design, I guess it depends on whether they licensed it out to the manufacturer.
If it turns out to be Revoltech-style Zoids...WOW!

On a side note:
Anyone looking to get rid of their Gustav zoids?
I've kinda given up on getting the missing antennae for my Scavenger and looking at maybe repainting the NJR/Hasbro bits to match. Bummer.
I just need the antennae and motor actually for replacement purposes but if you're looking to let go your spares, PM me! smile.gif
