Thanks to a fellow Zoider, I managed to snag the D-style Blade Liger with the free Helic stand.

1. This thing is really small. The Van figure is just a little bigger (wider?) than the standard Zoids pilot figures. I think it's smaller than the Kotobukiya Zoids pilots.
2. I haven't built it but painting will be required if you want ALL the cheek blade fins to have that distinctive white stripe. Out of the box, only the top "ear" fin is molded for snap-fit.
3. Unlike the HMM Zoids, there are no sprues for the "caps". They're molded onto the pieces so painting will be required if you want them to have the Grey of the motorised kit. Oh, and they're tiny too - somewhere between AA and AAA battery nipple circumference.
4. The blades don't SCHWIIING out! You'll have to detach and re-attach, according to the linkage's tab for the different profile configurations. Bummer.

So, is it worth the RM80+?
C'mon - even the 1/144 scale Gundams need some minimal painting to look good.
Cute Zoids make for an interesting diversion to their more angry bigger siblings. I only hope my hands and fingers can keep steady enough to do justice to the painting.
PS: I've uploaded the manual's scans if anyone needs it.
