QUOTE(synz @ Mar 2 2010, 12:34 PM) wow.. the price is very tempting for 520M + 5650.. 899.99 USD = 3,050.07 MYR that's the currency converter i used online.. let's put aside the tax first.. if it's on the market with the price of somewhere around 3299,guess it'll be hot selling model.. so far i only know acer 5742G comes with 5650 but it's using i7.. really wish there'll be this model here in malaysia..

computers/notebooks in Malaysia has no tax.... one of the few tax breaks in Mal..... 899 usd... so it's approx RM100 to RM150 more (with lesser HDD) for 5650 instead of 5470 in Mal.

QUOTE(coolredz @ Mar 2 2010, 03:10 PM) yeah.. if it's 3300,even with lesser HDD i'll get one.. we can always use a portable for storage Or do what I do on my 5740..... pop out the DVD-rom and run a 2nd HDD in its place... raid 1TB (500GB x2)if I wanted to.... the other difference with a 5650 GC than a 5470 GC would be the power adapter (95W instead of 65W) and battery life..

Well, roughly speaking, if you are not into hrdcore gaming, like playing all games in superhigh defination and need fast frame skip.. 5470 is more than enuf

5470 (they cut down a lot of stream processors on the chip) with very low power (say 8w compared to 5650's roughly 20-30w) requirement/usage.... 5000 series functions like Eyefinity, encoding, decoding...etc are kept.
High res/high def/high 3d algorithm should be done on a desktop anyways
