a 2.4GHz, 1GB ram, 9550 can support Win 7

The last of the Mohicans, s478. Mine sold already, another my 2nd 478 mobo which is considered new all of sudden no power! not a psu problem. Luckily the earlier mobo can be use, now with it's new owner.

guys, those who are using windows 7 now, what's your rating for the processor?
my friend's P4 3.0 only got 1.8 for processor rating

the rest of the scores are ok, around 3+. it couldn't be that bad rite?

thanks for the reply. what could be the problem? the only thing i know is that his internals are quite dusty, but does that really effect the performance until this extend?
my friend is also using 1.5GB. seems quite ok to me, but he tells me that if open more than 3-4tabs on safari it'll start to lag. if i'm not mistaken safari is quite a ram hogger isn't it?

Tell him try Google Chrome, works like a charm

yes, brand new mobo. got 3 choices for 478, which is 915, 865, and SiS. I took 865 due to AGP interface. 915 uses PCIE.

not sure wat KO... but mobo is quite new leh. Aih....

i think your proc can fetch quite a good price, 3.4GHz P4 is quite a rare one isn't it?
and yeah, ddr1 rams are expensive now, less demand in the market now.

that's why most users are switching platforms already

how did you guys manage to run it on windows7? i just got my mobo from neo2 and it couldn't read win7 installation disc.

If pee4 can run vista, win7 should be okay. Just need to find working drivers for printers and webcams.

Btw, me is thinking of turning me 3.2 HT into HTPC. Not ready to decomission my pea4 into useless metal.

impossible because i tried booting from pendrive also through bios it wont work.
