QUOTE(hydrogen @ Feb 4 2010, 04:15 PM) Hi guys! Please add me into the d3000 list. I think you might have to send it back to Nikon Service Center to check on the AF calibration. Try with another lens to see if the AF is spot on or not.bought it for Christmas and have been learning to use it. bad thing is that i dropped it, and now the AF isn't working properly. Still unsure if it's the lens problem or the body. anyway. Cool to see that such a thread exists. awesome! QUOTE(fcuk90 @ Feb 4 2010, 08:49 PM) Using it on TTL is like using auto mode |

QUOTE(iman_210 @ Feb 6 2010, 08:31 AM) I think it should be written in the manual of D5000 that the camera actually heats up when taking 720p and only last for like 15 minutes? Cause I remember seeing that in D90. So to those whose buying DSLR mainly for the HD feature should instead get a camcorder. |

I thought it is only an indicator when the AF has been done.so u can check whether ur pic is in focus or not depend on that green light... not reli sure thou i never try mf before.. |

What is the longest interval between shots if you to use a timer? Longest I could get is setting CL to 1fps, but if I were to want a longer interval like 5s or something, possible? Just being curious.

QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Feb 26 2010, 11:21 PM) It means the bulb inside will move like "focusing"... dunno what is the actual function but di622 also have similar mechanism. Zoom in and out is for further range, when you shoot at 105, the flash zooms to 105mm, meaning it'll be able to reach further but not as much coverage like 18mm or so.One thing I don't understand is that, my zoom moves around when I bounce to ceiling :S. |

QUOTE(maxh3h3 @ Feb 27 2010, 10:30 AM) maybe something wrong with your flash lol, the flash just calculate the distance of your target based on the distance of the zoom in TTL so the flash can set what power to shoots. I first found out using flash is more complicated than using a DSLR itself. I dont use full manual for my di866 nowdays. Something I always forgot to confirm with my friends, anyone here with a SB900 can check if the flash zooms in and out when flash is set 90 degree facing top for bouncing ceiling?I know the smaller nissin locks the zoom when bouncing ceiling. Mine only does that when I pull the card out or putting the diffuser. Added on February 27, 2010, 1:08 pm QUOTE(ky-l @ Feb 27 2010, 10:33 AM) This is what I do nowdays tho, set it to 12mm when bouncing it. If ceiling not really high, can straight use the diffuser This post has been edited by celciuz: Feb 27 2010, 01:08 PM |

QUOTE(reveur @ Mar 5 2010, 11:02 PM) Sling or Backpack? I use a Flipside 400AW, but I think its too bulky. Thinking to get a 6 Million Dollar Home when I want to travel light with just body and the flashgun.I have used Sling Lowerpro bag and its slightly uncomfortable for me. It feels ungainly and you can't exactly carry it straight. I am a nuts for messenger bag hence I know that unless you get a good messenger bag with straps, your shoulder will be aching like nuts. So my suggestions, go for Backpack, the cool kind. Granted Backpack normally goes for around 300? But you might be able to get good deals if you look around. QUOTE(General_Nic @ Mar 6 2010, 12:30 AM) postponed again means i still have a chance to go, haha Cheap! Only if it is for Msia set. If grey set, I'm not too sure what is the pricing like.kidding only btw, today in LYP i saw many shops displaying D3000 kit at Rm1750!! n D90 kit at Rm3699! but i didn ask whether is local set or grey set la QUOTE(illegaldragon87 @ Mar 6 2010, 12:43 AM) let see whether the num of photographers will increase anot if i bring 1 or 2 models to our next outing... XD LOL, that time you need to set like a maximum amount of participants already QUOTE(maxh3h3 @ Mar 6 2010, 08:39 AM) just pretend as a potential buyer and ask for whats in box , check for the warranty card. You don't have warranty covered in Malaysia for the body. Need to pay a price for 'buying the warranty'. But the all Nikon lens are international warranty. With that price, it is without a doubt grey set. Can anyone tell me what so bad about grey set? |

Hoya HMC UV(0) is a good filter. But not until RM200 pricing. Even 77mm goes for RM95 only.

The way aperture is measured for example this lens 50mm f/1.8. It means that the aperture size is 50/1.8 which is 27.78mm opening. Which is wider/bigger than 50mm f/3.5 (14.28mm).
