Fixtures schedule in soccernet showed only 2 postponements a moment ago. Now it's three with the latest one being the Stadium of Light game. And pools are asking for postponement for their match as well.

just saw the quote from AW himself stating he predicts Bentdner would be back in just 2 weeks
im not sure if by that he means returning fully fit with match fitness..i also not sure lol confused between fully fit and match fitness

cross fingers* if by chance our match postponed tommorow...it would simply means 2 weeks is just 1 week from bentdner return..if thats the case
most likely we wont sign a backup striker. unsure.gif

Good news is Wenger condemns the postponements as they kinda break our stride. I bet he's eager to get tomorrow's game going.

And in the same article, he also said that RvP is like 2 weeks away from returning.

Wenger said bendtner will be back in 2 weeks not RvP.Rvp as we all know long term injury. How i wish it was rvp to be back soon whistling.gif

Togo team bus attacked by machine guns
sos

Whatta hell happened? Heard some players are in bad state... as much as I hate him, I hope Ade is alright.

Edit: The sos has been updated and Ade is indeed alright. But 2 other players are injured and the bus driver killed. This is crazy.

Looks like Nik is back in training. We should be able to handle the games with our current strike force until late Jan where the crunchers come in, so Nik will have 3 weeks to get himself fit and ready.
QUOTE
'Nicklas is doing well in training, had a good session today, and the news is quite good. He'll join in with the first-team next week. His fitness is not too bad, actually, because he has worked hard. He can do the job [as a central striker], even if he's a different type of player to Van Persie. But it gives me a few options in there.'

And with Arsene ruling out Chamakh in Jan as expected, we're probably not going to sign someone up front. It's all good, as we have other areas eg defensive backup which require more attention. We can afford to wait for Chamakh until summer, and if he does come for free then we can show Bordeaux who's boss.
QUOTE
Wenger believes that the striker's options are still open but he is not pursuing Chamakh at the moment.

"Chamakh is still available for the summer," said the Arsenal manager.

"We have not met his agent and not spoken about it.

"He is a player we have an interest in, but we are focused on short term at the moment."

Arsene wrote letter to those Spanish bullies? Too gentlemen le Boss, you should have sent them a picture of your finger.

Well there's good and bad about the match postponement. Good side is, we won't be missing those injured players and we have 1 less match to negotiate without them.

Bad point is, we'd have a fixture congestion somewhere towards the end of the season. At the same time, the adhoc 'winter break' might make us lose of momentum a little, just as we were picking up some good results.

ARSENE WENGER has urged the FA to postpone ALL of this weekend's Premier League games — if any more matches are called off.

From thesun.co.uk
