Surprisingly well in fact. We expected him to be a nervous twitchy little thing, instead we ended up with a monster on our hands.  rclxms.gif

ya, i have "limited" visiting rights AT the moment. well until i duplicate dusty's mommy's apartment keys. then i'll have bunnynapping right! cool2.gif

dusty is super calm, not upset with all the manhandling by the godmother at all. this weekend i'm going to abuse him more. kiss him till he cries tongue.gif

going to wait a few weeks for dusty to settle down then i'll introduce him to hector. if hector likes having another bunny around, then i'll get hector a sibling! rclxm9.gif
wish i could have more bunnies but that really depends on hector, if he doesnt like the concept then i must follow the wishes of the king bunny tongue.gif

Still have others which didn't take their picture.

currently cant afford to get pure HL as i am new n just into keep rabbit as hobby.. my story is i just bought a mix angora last 2weeks but the day after i went into accident n got hospitalized for a week, then the rabbit died at home.. now i got 6 weeks MC..

The right age to spay/neuter is above 6 months. meaning below tht age izit difficult to toilet train em..
if i buy a pair from same parents meaning they're siblings izit ok if they mate?
*
mating sibling? i'm not a vet but i believe that you should never mate siblings, the likelihood of getting disable offsprings is very high. and my human side says- it's kindoff gross tongue.gif

QUOTE(sangterap @ May 14 2010, 08:48 AM)
Sorry for your loss. dig a deep hole in the garden and bury baby bunny? how young was the bunny when you bought it? Take some time to mourn and share with us your experience next time. It will be valuable for newbies. That rabbit mix is junk food not to be fed as staple. I think it is a conspiracy theory when lousy food is sold so that more rabbits will die and more people will buy more underage baby rabbits. Pet stores are still being ignorant as along as there is business. I am not saying that the mix is the cause of death but food like these should be get off the shelves.

Wonder when we will ever have petstores that are well informed so that accurate and good information is disseminated to the public. If 8 out of 10 customers that buys a rabbit that dies on them and they never want to ever have a rabbit in their lives anymore, they are losing 8 out of 10 customers. Never think long term. Short term business will never last. Blardy hell, teach customer the right way of keeping rabbits are not difficult! Same goes with underage rabbits. If they only take the time to explain to customers why they are selling older rabbits, soon demand for it will be there. Always sell cute stuff that dies what's the blardy use!

Sorry, very pissed right now....
*
totally agree. Pet shops should have some foresight-sell a healthy rabbit and you have the rabbit owner shopping at your shop every month, sell a sick rabbit and the owner will be too traumatize to buy again. Dollars and cents wise, it just simply makes more sense to sell a healthy rabbit.

Leaving aside the money greedy and the ignorant buyers (which frankly, I do pity cos they are sincere but misdirected), what I really can’t stand are those people where you tell them- don’t buy an underage rabbit but they do it anyway! “oh, I couldn’t help myself, he was so cute!”, vmad.gif the rabbit dies, and up they go and purchase another underage rabbit. Animals are not toys, you can’t replace a broken animal like you can replace a Nintendo wii. Really, people who have no maturity or common sense should not be pet owners.

Not spayed yet..

I did research and found out that red urine is normal due to plant pigmentation..like beta carotene. My bun had Chinese long bean that night before she urinated ( 3 tiny drops of bright looking blood) on the floor.

Anyone here witnessed red urine before ? because i think if its urine, then it would be a pool of it..but i only saw 3 (ten cents size) drops.

Also, where is the best vet's clinic for safe and cheap spaying in SJ/Kemuning/Puchong area ? Have checked front page list but would prefer personal recommendation.I'm a worry wort sad.gif
*
if it's red urine, it shouldnt be a problem. try take a smell to check if its blood or urine.
i personally like dr lynette (see front page). she's the only vet that hector has taken a liking to. very professional and genuinely concerned.

hmmmm, a bit disappointed with my fav pet store. usually they are quite responsible, selling rabbits over 3 months old. but today i was surprised to see rabbits age "5 weeks onwards" displayed in the window. they looked so small. think i'm running out of petshops to buy from.

hahahaha! so sweet of u but i'll feel so bad! hector has a thing about scaring groomers (i dont understand how they can still say he is cute after his inflicts pain & suffering all over their arms shocking.gif ). at least if the groomer isnt a friend i wouldnt feel so bad sweat.gif

my rabbit nails are white so easy to see..i can trim her fur at her genital area also...i u can trans her to calm your bunny down
*
i tried the trans thing once, got him to be still for about half a second only! like i said, i'm hopeless! but it is just hector, i have no trouble manhandling my friend's rabbit. brows.gif

managed to contact a groomer and am trying to convince her to do house calls. dont mind paying dog prices for the services although all he needs is a nail trim and a minor cleaning. rather not take him to the groomer cos he isnt comfortable with the smell and the barking from the dogs. poor baby sad.gif

finally took hector to the groomers today. they did a great job, nail trim, ears cleaned, paws cleaned and excess fur
shaved, and butt cleaned. because i refused to let them give him a bath, they had to shave a bit of his dirty butt fur. rclxms.gif

so malu though, all the dogs were perfectly well behaved sitting at their counter, my rabbit on the other hand was misbehaving and took 2 groomers to hold him still. i guess i shouldnt feel so bad that i failed to groom him myself since it takes 2 professionals to deal with my tiny monster tongue.gif . at least this time he didnt injure anyone rclxub.gif

overall, he wasnt traumatise post event, went back to his normal self as soon as i got him into the play pen.

mission impossible successful cool2.gif
