Sorry for your loss. dig a deep hole in the garden and bury baby bunny? how young was the bunny when you bought it? Take some time to mourn and share with us your experience next time. It will be valuable for newbies. That rabbit mix is junk food not to be fed as staple. I think it is a conspiracy theory when lousy food is sold so that more rabbits will die and more people will buy more underage baby rabbits. Pet stores are still being ignorant as along as there is business. I am not saying that the mix is the cause of death but food like these should be get off the shelves.
Wonder when we will ever have petstores that are well informed so that accurate and good information is disseminated to the public. If 8 out of 10 customers that buys a rabbit that dies on them and they never want to ever have a rabbit in their lives anymore, they are losing 8 out of 10 customers. Never think long term. Short term business will never last. Blardy hell, teach customer the right way of keeping rabbits are not difficult! Same goes with underage rabbits. If they only take the time to explain to customers why they are selling older rabbits, soon demand for it will be there. Always sell cute stuff that dies what's the blardy use!
Sorry, very pissed right now....
totally agree. Pet shops should have some foresight-sell a healthy rabbit and you have the rabbit owner shopping at your shop every month, sell a sick rabbit and the owner will be too traumatize to buy again. Dollars and cents wise, it just simply makes more sense to sell a healthy rabbit.
Leaving aside the money greedy and the ignorant buyers (which frankly, I do pity cos they are sincere but misdirected), what I really can’t stand are those people where you tell them- don’t buy an underage rabbit but they do it anyway! “oh, I couldn’t help myself, he was so cute!”,

the rabbit dies, and up they go and purchase another underage rabbit. Animals are not toys, you can’t replace a broken animal like you can replace a Nintendo wii. Really, people who have no maturity or common sense should not be pet owners.
