Already died 6 rabbits so far.. cry.gif    But still have not given up yet.

Expensive experience  sweat.gif  , but hopefully I am getting wiser now.  So far, I have successfully rescued 4 rabbits from critical moment to safety.  Initially plan for holiday this week, but have cancel my plan since most of my rabbits are still young and not in stable condition.  What a big sacrifice I made for my rabbits.

Yikes
cry.gif
If I'm not mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that you are having problems with the young rabbits. You might want to reconsider the breeders that you're buying from.

Awwwwww that so sweet of you  wub.gif ..your rabbits are lucky to get u as owner biggrin.gif

Well I need help from you all, My rabbit's hay is going to finish ready and I'm waiting for my hay that order from chubbypetsgarden. Is my mistake because I didn't order the hay earlier. Is it ok if I give them only Pro optimum pellets till I get the new hay? I think around this week I will get the hay smile.gif
*
Do u live in klang valley? If you do, I believe pet lovers centre sells chubbypets hay. That's where I buy mine when I'm too lazy to wait for the delivery.

Well...most of the rabbit breeds I like are majority long fluffy fur type, which I don't even know who are the reputable breeders in this market, if you know one do let me know. Ok?
*
i guess a sign of a better breeder is someone who will refuse to sell you an underage rabbit. Please don’t get me wrong, I dun mean to criticize you or anything like that. When I was first sold my little boy I wouldn’t have cared if he was 1 week or 1 years old. However, after my readings off the net on rabbits and all the shared stories from other members in this forum, I have to admit that when it comes to underage bunnies, 9 out of 10 don’t make it pass a few months. It’s very sad for the new owners who are usually first time rabbit owners. Some even give up having rabbits.

Alternatively, if you are willing to spend more, you can always get your rabbits imported from reputable rabbitries in US.

hye all..
just bought 1 male mix teddy bear breed from breeder last 3 days rclxms.gif
so happy to have it..

want to ask?is it normal the fur 'gugur' blink.gif ..but not to much
how to prevent it?
is it because his food?

now i'm feeding him rabbit pellet from pet shop..
and still waiting for my elaun to buy him alfafa hay biggrin.gif
he's bout 2 month according to previous owner..

sorry bad english blush.gif
*
rambut gugur is their trademark! tongue.gif
my apartment is perpetually covered with rabbit fur all the time, and mind u, my rabbit is the short hair variety! doh.gif

the only thing i have to add is because they groom themselves and they have no ability to cough out furballs like cats do, ensure your rabbit has tons of hay in his diet to "flush" out and clean the digestive system. give him a good brush once in every few days as well, this will help with the loose fur.

i used to give my little boy some pineapple juice as well and have now moved on to papaya tablets [better not try all these yet, cos your buck is still very young].

well, welcome to the rabbit slave club! rclxms.gif

I really agree with you. Coz I need to bring myself down to that level to get some messages across. Nice and kind words just doesn't work sometimes. LOL!

They generally need time to get used to. They are especially shy because not much human contacts. Once hit certain cute age, they are shipped to pet shops by the loads. When they get used to you, they will show their real behavior. Each and everyone have their own unique behavior. That's the best part about this hobby. To know and understand your beloved pet.
*
agreed totally rclxms.gif
it's wonderful to reach a stage that you understand your pet and your pet understands and trusts you. it's amazing to see a small tiny fragile creature get to the point where he/she trusts you unconditionally eventhough you're bigger, stronger and viewed in the past as a predator. i must admit, it blows my mind away wub.gif

well i suggest u switch to the normal non chop hay and put into the hayrack.it's better for your bunny's gut too.if you are hanging the hayrack ouside the cage i dont think they can dig it out so easily...

dun know la, he has only been taking it for 3 days. i'm a sucker for advertising, so when i read about all the great things it would do 4 my boy, had to buy tongue.gif
it smells great n he loves it- am worried that 1 tablet a day might b 2 much. it's suppose 2b all natural etc but sugar is from nature n i am afraid of overdosing him on sugar.

That day the 3 rabbits that were on heat stroke and had nose bleed, now is doing fine inside an air-cond room. Phew...!  All my rabbits are now healthy eating and gaining weight.
*
Phew! Glad to hear the little ones are doing fine. I think the heat is effecting all rabbits! I haven't tried air cond yet but the fan is on full blast. Hopefully it starts getting better towards mid year.

do everyone of you use litter tray?

i'm thinking of getting a triangle litter tray for my rabbit since she's pooping at a corner in the cage..it will be much easier to clean wont it?

i oni have a cat litter box outside her cage for her to pee and poo during roaming hours
*
i am a true believer that litter trays are sent by god to make my life easier. less spills and less "tersalah tembak". very easy to clean- remove, empty, wash, refill with litter. once too stained-throw. get those with the grill, cleaner on their feet as the feet doesnt get in contact with urine and poop.
