I"m back! I've got good news from Doctor!

So yesterday i made a call to Dr. to check out if rabbit gets better or it was as she expected --> bacteria attacked him and no choice but put to sleep. I was indeed told that rabbit eat and poop normally when he wasn't earlier!

So it means bacteria still not yet happen and what is out of control is the bladder. The nerve for bladder control seems affected by the broken spine. IF the broken secton was 1 section behind, then it would be affecting the bowel already. Means that cannot poop. IF that happened, i had no choice put to give him a shot.

He was good in the ward. Eat pellet and 'shake' hand with the docs and trainee too! 

I just came back from discharging him from hospital. About 4 type of medicine given to me. Doctor told me he might recover from bone injury automatically because small animals sometimes are just so amazing to heal themselves provided with good care and medication. But it all depends on luck though.

Multivitamin - liquid
Baytril - tablet - antibiotic for the bladder there
Metacam - liquid - try to help the broken section in the spine
Methycobal - tablet - help the nerve

Doctor told me so many things like the nerve and bone rebuilding things. I understand but i can't describe here. 

So now i have to take care of my disabled rabbit, fed medicine every day before and after work. Something i have to commit if i want him to be alive and be happy.

The cost is reasonable. Earlier i was quoted around Rm400 for 3 days. But i discharged him in 2 days. Here's the break down of the fees:

Consultation - RM30
Radiology - RM50
Hospital boarding - RM12 x 2 = RM24
Half body dip (i think should be dip) - RM40
Drugs Injections - RM15.54
Drugs - RM71.98
Lab fee for urine - RM10

Total RM241.52. I was given 15% discount some more.

I'm relieved now despite rabbit is disabled. As long as he's alive and healthy, i can give whatever it takes!

Your bunnies are so cute! I used to have a white rabbit with red eyes. I've never seen the one with black eyes. Did you photoshop?!??!?1

when he lie down (stretch), he is the size of 600ml mineral bottle water. but when he is moving or eating, his size is smaller n shorter than 600ml mineral water.

i just feed Milo pellets, alfafa and timothy. he is healthy as always eating. good sign. i suspect he is less than 2 month. not sure got method to calculate or know rabbit age or not. then consumer won't kena tipu. sadly, bunny dont have magazine like cat and dog.

i almost kill my female rabbit today. her neck got pink colour due to bell collar kena water. i put Clorox whitening on her fur at noon (hope it will remove the color). sadly, it did not. normally our cloth can become white. then i use human shampoo and bath her for few min (quite long today and she keep struggle). i quickly use small cloth to make her fur dry. then things happen. her body like hardening and her legs don't move. that kind of look like going die. i continue use cloth to wipe her wet body even she look like going die soon! lucky, 5 minutes later, she manage to move her rear legs. phew! let her dry under the sun for 1 hour while i play with Milo. she keep lick her every part of her body. she smell nice as first time bath with shampoo. normally i just bath her with plain water and let her dry under the sun. today the sun is not hot but windy.

i cant take photo Milo with her as she keep wanna bite him. i think she jealous as i very sayang him.

Eli, what type of fresh vegies Hector eat?
eat too much vitamin is not good. liver has to work harder to expel it. not recommend increase vitamin. I think give him fresh hay. Beh & Yo got a gold edition product which pack fresh hay in brown box. my colleague told me is very fresh.
u can feed him more fruits like apple. an apple a day keep doctor away.

as for emergency vet, maybe next time you go to your vet, ask him/her personally what if got emergency. do they take call?

gosh, got so many cute bunny.

from netherland dwarf (black otter + show rabbit) cost $950. his ear and face is super cute!
also got lion head, hotot and holland lop.

for rabbit lover, please go visit. so many bunny to cuddle.

since sifu of all bunny also believe in physical punishment

i bought at Ikano Pet safari. because very high risk bought from those petshop, u need to have some skill. first, with so many bunny, look for those keep eating. reason being it represent strong body. only the weak do not dare to fight for the food & eat. look at their eye. are their eye clear. look at their nail and their lower body. are those nice fur. lastly, do u have special feelng for them. Milo is the first rabbit i choose for myself.

Eli, if you can afford, get from Beh. but J Jay only got male bunny for sale. maybe Beh don't want sell female because scare got competitor. imagine if they sell to other, got people breed. they sell it and indirectly become their competitor. this is my thinking. i might be wrong. those who breed rabbit should welcome competitor. by doing so, it will make the market exciting. nevertheless, still a long way to go before I can afford a holland lop. i love the meaty body of netherland dwarf and holland lop. otther breed very light. reason it is big because of fur. J Jay got few lionhead.it is cute but when u carry them, the nice feeling is not there compare ND and HL.
do update us hector, hector dont look FAT!. u should see J Jay HL gift by Beh. that is FAT. now she keep 2 bunny as her pet inside the shop. i told her she should keep German Spherd dog instead. Bad guys scare dog not bunny.

last time my hyorin also didnt eat n poo for 3 days...=( then i got to know sangterap he help me step by step...she's doing great from that day on...thanks again bro i remember that lesson for life...

now if i go to the pet shop i try to get the 'oxbow critical care' for stand by..i buy from PLC...the expiry date is not long but it's just a little cost to pay for a safety think of as something like first aid treatments we have for humans...we dont need it but it's just for emergency...last time my frens rabbit fell sick i took my packet and gave to him...it does come in handy

yea sangterap pick his bunny owner...if me i would also do the same thing...coz i dont want my animals to go into wrong hands..i'm sure u will pass his evaluation you're a great bunny owner...

yup bonding is not easy...depend on the rabbit character...later got new rabbit he jealous pulak even worse..hahaha...but he might be happy to get a friend..neutering think sangterap can give a good vet reccomendation
