QUOTE(gikko @ Jun 20 2010, 11:00 AM)
Hi StrawberryGirL and all in this forum,  smile.gif

I need your humble expertise here to help me out on shipping out from eBay to Malaysia & how to declare (i mean under value it).

I've registered both ComGateWay and Viaddress but i haven't used their service yet.

I managed to speak to ComGateWay customer service on live chat successfully just to confirm whether they are responding or not and YES, ther are responding.

But i couldn't connect to Viaddress live chat ever since i registered with them 2 months ago.

I'm buying RC car worth USD600 & free shipping within US.

If i want to use the above service, which one would you people recommend me to use?

And should i email them every time to check whether they've received my item or not?

Once they have received my item, what should i tell them to do, tell them to do another wrapping or tell them to ship straight away?

After i buy from eBay, should i contact seller to create low invoice or any other way to?

How to declare low value if courier service(FedEx or DHL) help me ship to my house?

Or should i contact courier service(FedEx or DHL) to tell them it is under RM500?

I'm confused.  hmm.gif

Please help me out.  sad.gif
*
You can email service@viaddress.com. They will reply you back. smile.gif They will inform once order is placed, when the item is shipped out by that online merchant, once it arrived at Viaddress. To declare lower value, you can instruct them by emailing. Let them know that, any purchase above RM500 will be taxed here.

^^v

anyone know how can i get the viaaddress online or atleast reply to my email? i forgot to update whats the item details LOL
*
Email to service@viaddress.com.. They will reply wink.gif

Tax kena RM247.00!

Pening kapla dey sweat.gif My bad, assuming they will declare it lower than RM500 on their own.
Turns out, I have to give them specific instruction.

*
Haha, bad things happened so that we can learn. What do I write to them? Pre-made emails? hmm.gif

QUOTE(saiful_caocao87 @ Jun 23 2010, 10:55 PM)
them don't reply to me also, i just want them to check the item weight, seem not rite.

one dvd weight 1kg. do you believe it? so funny. last time i bought (using different company) 3 dvd weight 0.5kg.
*
Strange, they do reply my emails.. One DVD weighs 1kg? That's absurd! doh.gif
Better ask them to explain.

nvmind, got the package return back to the merhants sad.gif
yeah, they wont.
better to use viaaddress. i think it's possible to declare undervalue, but viaddress never reply to my email, awww  cry.gif
*
I've just learned that we can declare a lower value by our ownself at Viaddress.
Once the item is arrived at the suite, you can click on 'Ship Now' right? There's an 'Edit' button.
Here you can change the title, name the stuff contained inside the parcel and change the value of that item.

QUOTE(dopp @ Jul 2 2010, 11:18 AM)
Bonvu.com can under declare
*
Have you tried? Can that site be trusted? hmm.gif

Hope eveything's fine. This is my first time buying via CGW. Any idea when will they place orders for me?

Yay! Already shipped my first parcel via CGW, though waiting for them to match the invoice is a bit troublesome, worrying experience doh.gif

Shipped with Express Shipment (DHL, maybe?). The rate is cheap! wink.gif

hi dear biggrin.gif

congratulation to you ^^ ya.

CGW was great to me also. but for spree usually i will used viaddress more then CGW smile.gif CGW, i used for personal used.

the communication are good too. they even call me and asked if my item out of stock.

their live chat are on everyday. except after working hours.
*
Thanks dear.. smile.gif Yeah, they do slow in email response, but after my first deal with them, can safely say that, it was a good experience.
The waiting days for my items to be shipped to US by online merchant, without updates from CGW (unlike Viadress) is a bit painful.
But overall, am satisfied. Still waiting for my parcel to arrive, will share later laugh.gif

QUOTE(Chocobos @ Jul 16 2010, 06:32 PM)
I used comgateway. Always use their live chat if u wanna ask them something. They're helpful. Though not really satisfied with shipping charges cos even less than 1 kg item will be charged like 2 kg item due to their volumetric measurement.
*
Yeah?
Was yours bulky? Mine is 0.74kg items, but they charged me for 1 kg.

QUOTE(someone_stupid @ Jul 16 2010, 11:21 PM)
if cgw won't under declare, then is there any other way to turn avoid this? the part above myr500, how do they tax? ah crap d this time LOL my bulk kinda big value d :S :S
*
For RM500 and above worth of items, local customs will tax you 20% + 10%.
Last time kena when sent with Viadress doh.gif

lim: i don't think they will charge you but even if they did, it wun be exp i think abt 10% smile.gif

so between cgw and viadress, one can under declare the other cant. one jacks up the shipping charges the other honest. hmmm how leh which is a better choice in ur opinion?
*
Buy in small quantity, send in several shipments with CGW, maybe you'll get no tax smile.gif
I love the fact that, CGW is cheaper!
