The dots in both pix appeared exactly at the same position. It's not noise or strayed light.. They tend to get lesser at higher ISO when the compression tend to blurs out the dots.. Problem is if you use auto mode in indoor like shopping malls where it is considerably bright the camera will choose between ISO100 to ISO200 then spots will appear all over if you look carefully enough.. When shooting outdoor and if the affected area tend to be shadow or dark area also it will appear. Okay, this is toooo extreme already. Most people doesn't care too much bout the camera and say it's just a phone but hey you paid for the 8MP haha. oh well, cheap manufacturing of the N86 cmos sensor............

Actually frankly, no one will snap ISO100 in dark condition. My point is the CMOS sensor is a junk.. Got chance must find out if sony erricsson and samsung got such problem or not.. The camera software should at least detect these hot spots and remove it during processing. Better still include a remapping software but this is never seen on a phone haha.

usually people just take picture using automatic setting..
this phone have variable aperture, so it will adjust automatically.. but actually im disappointed too with galaxy in my camera.. waiting for new firmware..if problem still occurred, then it mean hardware fault.. |

Wait for few more member to contribute some pictures then we can come up with a conclusion. When taken at high ISO with lens covered won't have the galaxy one.. Mind you the galaxy does appear in normal photos just that you won't put your head close to the monitor enough to notice.. Nothing to do with the aperture, definitely the cmos sensor.

here's mine,
Auto; ISO low, flash off hurm.. previously i noticed some hot pixel in almost all my pictures using auto/close up/potrait/landscape. that was when using V20 and after updated to V21, noticed that most of the pixels are gone, and most pictures don't even have anymore |

I think we should write in.... if we look closer, I think everyone also have 'galaxy'... just that ours are not as serious as BingYao's and BundingYao's
