my very first S60 phone. took 1 whole day to totally understand the system
currently on v20. tried updating using FOTA - no updates
using NSU - after half an hour downloading, failed to install the firmware.. @_@

overall a very nice phone, yah best phone i've tried so far

Yes you can open your contacts, go to option>ringing tone> and choose your ringtone

Anyone know where can I find the capdase softjacket? etradepj don't have stock anymore. and other seller is selling at RM60 (have to order first, wait around 4 days)

I'd say all the softwares are better to be downloaded yourself if it costs 200 youtube and dictionary is already inside the phone. as for garmin, you can see previous posts, there's the tutorial on how to install, and there's a link for bundles of software posted by funeralofheart IINM

it's not that hard to install and search for softwares (and this is my first few days experience with a symbian phone )

Try install using compatibility mode for windows XP. Last time I also face this problem in win7. then tried opening using compatibility for xp, and tada.. my phone is now v21

hurm.. previously i noticed some hot pixel in almost all my pictures using auto/close up/potrait/landscape. that was when using V20

and after updated to V21, noticed that most of the pixels are gone, and most pictures don't even have anymore but then, after change it to low ISO, then only I noticed the "stars" all over there

ah, after almost 1 month, I think i faced the same issue as some of you guys, battery suddenly heated up! before that my gf was playing with it (music, gps etc) and then went to watch movie. Right after that, took out my phone, and it was quite warm, with battery only 1 bar left! soon after that it died, cannot turn on at all. asked several shops in 1u, and the ori battery cost more than rm100 next time will buy one for emergency purpose.

hey guys, have a question about nokia energy profiler. Do I need to leave it on in the background, so that it can manage my battery usage better? or it just functions as a battery monitor, and no use leaving it on at the background?

btw updated mine to V30 few days ago, and I noticed my FM transmitter doesn't work anymore. already hard reset. wonder if anyone else also having this prob?

my softkeys are quite okay, not that hard but not that soft. mine is the square lens btw

last night I soaked my phone while on my bike. it was raining damn heavily.everything was fine, but when I slide the camera cover, there was no respond!!
luckily this morning everything is back to normal.. hope there's no after-effect lor.. aiseh
still have no idea about my FM transmitter. maybe will try to reinstall the firmware later(saw this option in pc suite )

1 week and a half without my N86.. dem bored now..sigh
sent it to nokia center last week Monday coz have problem with it's earpiece. I asked them to change the camera lens as well (got a bit scratch on it ) and change the gps receiver (after few months the gps seems to be taking quite more time to get signal). now everything is ready, except for the lens only (stock not arrived yet). called them almost everyday, but the same answer - stock not arrived yet.

Bought it back in last January
the best phone I've ever used IMO, my digicam, gps, poket web-browsing, almost everything I need in my daily life
despite it does hang every now and then, still it served me well

anyway anyone here have an extra capdase softjacket? I just need the transparent part (front part) since I've accidentally broke it's clip. the black part is still fine. maybe if you're back part is broken, also i wouldn't mind.. as long as the front is still fine.. wanna buy if can get good price. buying a new set is abit pricey

wah seriously?? is it the original capdase? well, I've get used to holding the phone with the softjacket. and it also makes the slide abit firm

yah, unfortunately the slide have been causing scratches on the keypad.. especially 8,*,0,#
