budingyun, can u check if u have hot pixels? Snap a pix in the dark without flash and cover the lens with ur hands..

how big is your monitor size? u have to see carefully from the dark image is there any green dots..

You have to upload to your computer and have a look on a big screen. Look out for bright dots.. If view from phone impossible to see hot pixel unless its super big. Anyway, anyone experience the phone heat up unexpectedly? Mine heats up alot in my pocket and when I restart the phone my battery left 1 bar....

You guys can google for more details. Hot pixel is a defect where that 1 pixel on a sensor fails to record light..

Jesus Christ, I'm not alone!! That's exactly what I experience. Definitely not body heat right?? and we have one thing in common, we used the camera before it freaking heat up... it better not explode in my pocket.. sure mandul..

Kamikraze, can upload the original without resizing? But probably dont have.. I've circled all the spots and gonna drop in nokia sc soon..

No thanks I just spam only.. Damn lah the hot pixel is bugging me.. Tomolo go cameron thought can snap good pix.. Must drop in nokia sc asap.. Then I let u all know if they do replace the camera.... No one else experience phone heating??? Even ky also have the problem.

Okay we have 3 in the list now.. Could be battery problem? Jason, did you use the camera before the heating starts??
Edit: The heat is as hot as when you charge (or hotter) no joke...

Nope, already reformat and memory card is clear. Didn't install anything including garmin. Headache.. it doesn't come when you wan it.

Don't scare me eh KnY did the finish peel off cause you drop or wear and tear.. I also put mine in pouch but also got dust. So little only visible under the sun though.. So sad, my N86 also slowly growing troubles!!!!

No hints bout why the phone heats up??

Started logging with energy profiler, but the problem comes 'suddenly' cause dunno whats the culprit.. Using 1s interval but wonder if the memory is enough to log for bout 3 days.. After that can analyse the voltage reduction.. Then again the problem doesn't come everytime so its hard.. My major problem..
1. Hot (dead) Pixel on camera. Confirmed after snapping daylight pix in cameron, the dead pixel is still there.
2. Battery heating problem..
3. Dust under screen..

Minor problem is the dpad is making 'clicking' noise. No problem with slide. But the battery cover is squeaking.. Now KnY comment make me worried, how can the battery cover paint peel off. OMG!! KnY faster show some pix...

Very easy only dude, just see few pages back. He posted a guide on how to change. basically just download nokia nemesis suite and change only.. No risk involved.

Its supposed to be changed by the service center. Who handled you? Linda? or the chinese girl. Many members changed their lens here maybe can ask them where they changed theirs. You can try the one opposite berjaya timesquare.. My phone in hospital already so sad..

I think he mean the round lens design that cause scratch. Even in europe nokia will replace cause its a known design flaw. Now im scared cause I sent to the same service center to fix the dead pixel on my camera.. Later they say just one dead pixel cannot repair.. die..

clareen, why isn't it not covered? Even Nokia N97 people get to replace their lens..

Do you know this N86 got older round lens and square lens?
And the round lens design is flawed in such a way dust gets trap in the lens cover and will scratch the lens. Even N97 suffers from this. Dont und why mobile tech amcorp doesnt give him the warranty..
