Dental implants are expensive in Malaysia . You can try cheaper and better in some specialist dentist in Bangkok . Even some Europeans and Americans go to Bangkok to do dental implants . Here is one of the famous dental hospital in bangkok : Dental Hospital Bangkok

dental implants cost about 5-6k per implant..... almost all big city dental clinics have proper infection control.... small town clinics are the ones that you should really worried about infection control.... that's one of the reasons for the price difference.....

I have lost my lower 2nd molar, the one adjacent to the wisdom tooth, which had also been removed
without the 2nd molar, I have to chew food using the right chin side.. haih

the dentist told that the tooth implant for that one costs RM5k above.. I am wondering is this the market price nowadays for molar implantation nowadays?

Government hospital provides this service or not??? If they provide, do care about the quality.

what is that? I already extract the molar.. now only left a cavity (hole) there

actually got another option which is root canal, but that is more troublesome, need to back and forth the clinic, so I decided to cabut then implant it when got more $$ later

you're suppose to do root canal and then do crowning.
It's cheaper than dental implant and you get to save your teeth.

i think right now you might want to try bridging between your wisdom and third molar.

some places they do. but the patient will have to pay for the implant.

how would you know about the quality? implant success rates are not good.

According to my doc, the gum will grow to fill up the cavity (a small problem) but the side gum support will be gone therefore cannot support a new implant. U only have less than six months to do the implant so tat d side gum support won't deterioration wun b so bad.

Hi I just went to a orthodontist to have my teeth checked.

My upper front teeth is protruding so the solution the doctor proposed was to remove upper two premolars, one on left and one on right, then to pull back the front teeth to straight position.

For my lower jaw, one front tooth is missing. The dr proposed to remove the lower left premolar and then close the gap using braces, without replacing the front tooth.

I was thinking, is it possible to implant a tooth to replace it, since it will look better, in my opinion. How complicated or expensive can the procedure be? The doctor didn't try to explain if it can be done or try to give some alternative, considered it is quite a well known private clinic in KL.

Appreciate if Dr Barbarian can give some opinion.

teeth implant is bloody expensive...only reason why dentists are so bloody rich anyway.

upper row of teeth is slightly more expensive than lower row of teeth due to higher implantation difficulty. Any renowned dental surgeon can casually charge you RM5000-10,000 for a tooth.

That's not so true at least in my case last month only have had completed my dental implant procedure. I have to replace my front upper tooth with that screw and crown. The process was quite bearable and worth enough to get a confident smile on my face missing from last 3 years. My implant dentist charge only $1999 for that single implant. So you have to say that dental implants are affordable at times, just as in my case!!
