QUOTE(hye @ Apr 7 2010, 04:19 PM) It depends on your luck on how would the bank would want to recognize your total income. Do note the agents/bank sales reps will all say yes to you but the approving party is actually the bank's credit / risk team. You can't call them or talk to them. Additional supporting document such as your bank statement where the salary goes to and EA form will help. First time applicant is always the hardest and the bank will ask you for so many things. Oh..i see..then just hope I can get it..lol.. If you can prove that your fixed allowance is consistent (appears in all your 3 months payslip) then maybe got chance. (I said got chance ... not definitely the bank will acknowledge it). Otherwise the bank will solely view the basic and that's it ... you won't qualify. Actually my every payslip showing the fixed allowance..and also I submit my EPF statement..she surprised that my EPF deduction is various every month..because it is depends on the total salary.. QUOTE(roy918 @ Apr 7 2010, 06:13 PM) Varying monthly EPF contribution may not be a good sign. But my allowance is fixed..so do I have chance? any other way I can do to get? If the allowance is not fixed, they can interpret that you might not getting any allowance in following months. Thus, you may not meeting the minimum salary requirement. Wish you good luck Ask back to yourself, will you lend money to a person that you knew he/she might not repay? I doubt there is any bank willing to risk their money even though the return is high. |

QUOTE(krylicius @ Apr 7 2010, 06:59 PM) Normally banks consider your application or qualification based on your basic salary..not gross..so even if any banks apprrove ur application, they will only give u a low credit limit..very low.. Low never mind..as long as I can get..3k will be enough..lol QUOTE(tgeoklin @ Apr 7 2010, 07:02 PM) FD secured credit card?? can you provide me the link?sorry..I'm new for this |

QUOTE(hye @ Apr 7 2010, 07:15 PM) This is not a published method of applying credit card but it is possible. So there's no such link exist if you are looking for it. Oh..ok..thanks for your info You need to place an amount in FD which the bank will treat it as security. You can have the card so long you don't withdraw your FD, you do that and your card is cancelled. Your CL will depend on the bank. Likely in best case scenario it'll be 1:1, matching the FD that you place but definitely not exceeding your FD value. Not so best scenario, your CL is less than your FD value. Before you run out to do this ... please inquire the banks whether they allow you to do this. Coz not all banks will provide this service. Go and do your homework on which bank has it. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Apr 7 2010, 08:26 PM) Hmm ? Free Takaful ? I am not aware of that. I'm thinking of this also..but I don't have so much cash at the moment..lol..why can't bank approve me since I have average 2.5k income for past 6 months and more.. Public Bank used to publish this in their website. Anyway, i am pretty sure this service is still available. Just walk in and ask any of their customer service officers. Assume you were to get a secured credit card from PBB with RM3,000 of FD, you'll be given RM3,000 of credit line for your credit card. I think you'll be able to get a Gold card, too. |

QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 7 2010, 10:23 PM) Unless you have better document to provide higher income bla bla like EA statement, J form and/or EPF statement. Oh..by the way, what is J form?Or maybe you got salary adjustment after increment/promotion/confirmation. I also submit EPF statement, it is 2009 statement and only got "nice figure" from June onwards.. QUOTE(eimane @ Apr 7 2010, 11:00 PM) not sure...but for me..I dont think bank had such a 'cool off' period...cos my application being rejected as well at first time...then I apply same card again within 2 week...then it's approve...huhu.. so good.. |

QUOTE(fylon @ Apr 7 2010, 11:14 PM) Meaning if I take up 1k EzyPay for 1 year, I only will have my full 3k credit limit restored once upon i clear the repayment? And I don't get your read by "your amount will be restored slowly month by month." Care to elaborate? means that your credit limit will restore slowly monthly..you swipe 1k for installment.. 1000 / 12 = 83.33333333333333 so starting from first month(after you pay bank), your credit limit is 2000 + 83.33333333333333 = 2083.33333333333333.. for the following month, just add 83.33333333333333... QUOTE(krylicius @ Apr 10 2010, 08:15 PM) Yes they do have a quota..but actually this year is abit more easier to apply credit card, due to the RM50 GST...so its like there is no quota at all..every day of the month is easy to apply.. Then good luck to me..haha..Actually all banks require 2 weeks or more to process a credit card application? |
