thats one thing..maybank wont simply approve applicants..they will check very thoroughly..first timer cc applicants can hardly get maybankard at the first try..
*
Then I don't give hope on it shakehead.gif

QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 10 2010, 10:28 PM)
If your salary goes into MBB, it'll be easier.

I got my MBB CC pretty easy.
*
shocking.gif serious? my salary goes into RHB..so apply RHB shouldn't be a problem? biggrin.gif

Should be smile.gif

But RHB credit cards are pretty bleh.
*
Haha..Thats why I haven't go and apply yet..

QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 10 2010, 10:45 PM)
I'm talking about MBB not RHB. We're always here that MBB CC is hard to get. I'm trying to highlight that if your salary goes into MBB, the chance will be higher.
*
Duly noted.. nod.gif

QUOTE(krylicius @ Apr 10 2010, 10:45 PM)
Even if my salary is credited to my mbb acc,i didn't wana apply for maybank cc..their only useful card is the ikhwan petronas cc..

It will be easier to apply back RHB..because they can check from ur savings acc..so thats your proof of income..

but RHB credit cards...hmm... hmm.gif
*
If really no bank approve me, that is my last choice.. wink.gif

Bear in mind that some cards do not need activation nowadays. That means once approved, you will be charged RM50 service tax immediately regardless of whether you agree to use them or not.
*
Ok..RM 50 per annum right? not after 1 year of using only pay? hmm.gif

QUOTE(krylicius @ Apr 10 2010, 10:55 PM)
Well you can apply frm RHB and use it for abt 6 mths then use that card to apply another bank..

It's very subjective. It's up to the individual bank's discretion.

Ok..thanks for your experience to let me know about this rclxm9.gif

QUOTE(krylicius @ Apr 10 2010, 11:10 PM)

QUOTE(eddievh @ Apr 12 2010, 09:46 PM)
Chosse less popular bank first la like Affin, cimb, alliance or hlb. You straight away choose elite bank like HSBC
*
QUOTE(ghoss @ Apr 12 2010, 10:14 PM)
CIMB , I got mine there as first time applicant.

Don't try Oversea banks ( HSBC / UOB / Standard Charted / OCBC ) + Maybank

Those bank are very hard to approve.
*
QUOTE(hye @ Apr 12 2010, 10:38 PM)
Bro ... warned you before. Even if you tried with an agent, approval chances would not get better. Agents just fill in the form and act as a marketing staff for the bank. The party who approves your card is another group - you can't get hold of them.
Try with a lesser bank ... that's the best advice. Continue applying with 'elite' banks will not get you anywhere.
*
Thanks for you all advice..now I'm going to try RHB, Publlic Bank, CIMB, Alliance and Ambank.. biggrin.gif
