Normal processing duration is 12-14 days..

Some banks takes 3 weeks though..i applied for affin bank previously and its still pending after 3 weeks..

btw,citibank takes 3 days only to give u application status..

thats one thing..maybank wont simply approve applicants..they will check very thoroughly..first timer cc applicants can hardly get maybankard at the first try..

I'm talking about MBB not RHB. We're always here that MBB CC is hard to get. I'm trying to highlight that if your salary goes into MBB, the chance will be higher.

Even if my salary is credited to my mbb acc,i didn't wana apply for maybank cc..their only useful card is the ikhwan petronas cc..

It will be easier to apply back RHB..because they can check from ur savings acc..so thats your proof of income..

Bear in mind that some cards do not need activation nowadays. That means once approved, you will be charged RM50 service tax immediately regardless of whether you agree to use them or not.

New cards will be charged immediately.

Old cards will be charged on its anniversary date.

Well you can apply frm RHB and use it for abt 6 mths then use that card to apply another bank..

then you can cancel the RHB card..

By book, they want an existing card used for at least 1 year.

I used my cimb paypass(used half a year only) to apply citibank card..approved..

but i think other banks need 1 year..

It's very subjective. It's up to the individual bank's discretion.

I was trying to do online application for HSBC cc but it seem they don't even bother to respond to me. Hmm...

I wonder which branch do you apply for? And I wonder also if it will affect the efficiency on their response.
Been weeks I have apply via online to Puchong branch. 

Chosse less popular bank first la like Affin,cimb,alliance or hlb. You straight away choose elite bank like HSBC

CIMB , I got mine there as first time applicant.

Don't try Oversea banks ( HSBC / UOB / Standard Charted / OCBC ) + Maybank

Those bank are very hard to approve.

Bro ... warned you before. Even if you tried with an agent, approval chances would not get better. Agents just fill in the form and act as a marketing staff for the bank. The party who approves your card is another group - you can't get hold of them.
Try with a lesser bank ... that's the best advice. Continue applying with 'elite' banks will not get you anywhere.
