If you can pay the different and don't mind waiting.. why not ? The paper specs on the Engine performance is pretty good.-= Naza-Kia Forte =- <Club> V2, Leaves You Speechless

The paper specification of the 2.0SX is the only reason why I am keeping my faith on the uncertain waiting... of cause also because of it price

Anyone ended up follows the Break-in formulated in this website ?
http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm I think it is a bit hard for us here to practice this as have to go back to approved SC to do service.. and must use their oil. If not.. probably can try at least drain the first few 10s of the KM traveled with the new engine to get rid of the initial metal debris.. then rev kaw kaw and change to final intended engine old. QUOTE(Scotch2009 @ Dec 27 2009, 08:21 PM) Guys, Get the white.. spend a bit to either one of the the paint protective / coating / glows in the market.. that should do it. Some warranty for couple of years.. even up to 10 years for the paint won't oxidize, faded and etc.Actually in in dilemma choosing the Forte Color.. White - very nice n sporty ..but in long run it could not that shining since it is a colid color. Bright Silver - common color ...easy to take k ...but look like too common. Titanium Silver - also a common color, it is a grey but not dark enuf.. Metal Bronze..- worry a little bit uncle..im only 27 years Black n Red - not really into it.. Guys, pls give some opinion to me ... best is you don't need to wax anymore. |

QUOTE(4te @ Dec 28 2009, 01:49 PM) Thanks bro, hopefully we can get >10 sets and I will do my best to push down the price further Bro, sorry if I am the one that made you started to notices all of those... I am reading on the links i given up there. Looks like if I am staying with the Forte.. I will be doing something like those.. and IF the price is within my budget.. i would do the full package to make the Forte into a Continental feels in it.Added on December 28, 2009, 1:55 pm As for No 1, the tyre wall insulation is poor, i am hearing the hollow sound from front and back tyres, a bit annoying at times From their page : http://www.autofoam.com.my/autofoam/index....id=72&Itemid=88 * They quoted would not void warranty.. but I am a bit skeptical on those especially is words from them.. not from the Car's manufacturer since we are the one that facing problems when claiming for warranty. QUOTE(epo @ Dec 28 2009, 02:18 PM) bbear... a big If .. cause I am still in the dilemma if to cancel my 2.0SX order this week. hmmm... RM2K promotions... ask them if they can provide below test noise... want to know the diff before & after... you want to do the above but retain the kumho tyres? If my research found that by spending < RM5k can do all the sound proofing, auto foam, paint protection / glows / security & heat tint ... then it is a good saving by not canceling the Forte booking by buying a Peugeot 308 Turbo. The bit thing is also.. is it worth to spend those money.. and if they can solve the noisy cabin that I do not like on the Forte. I knew.. either car i get will need to do the paint protection and tinting... but do not need to removes so many car's parts and panels which will potential introduce more problem / void the warranty. |

QUOTE(cheonghuat @ Dec 28 2009, 02:51 PM) My SA called me saying there will be 530 unit of 1.6 Forte to be delivered in Jan 2010. No 2.0 forte delievery news yet. Looks like what I been told by my Nasim's SA is real.. that he told me. 2.0SX will only available after local assembly line is up as the government does not allow those CBU 2.0SX selling price. My Nasim's SA called Gurun's plant to ask about Forte 2.0SX because I told him I will change to Peugeot if I still cannot get updates on the Forte's delivery.. i guess he is desperate and call the Gurun to ask about Forte even he is selling Peugeot |

Guys and Gals.. I think my wait is over.. just got off from the Care Line.. the latest update from Careline
Mr. Umbran : Estimate delivery for the Forte 2.0SX is in six month time. ( I told him I am not taking new order buy follow up on booking placed in November ). I am still been inform, the "Scheduled mass production" for the Forte 2.0SX can only delivers in 6 month time. ( Mr. Umbran saying there are NO Forte 2.0 ) I called again, this time Ms. Ain : Estimate delivery for the Forte 2.0SX starting January after they have allocates enough test drive unit to customer. I reluctant to make the 3rd call to hear from what the next care line agent going to tell me. This post has been edited by bbear: Dec 28 2009, 03:43 PM |

QUOTE(cheonghuat @ Dec 28 2009, 03:53 PM) There are many version of 2.0sx status. At least Ms Ain is consistently telling 2.0 will be in malaysia by Jan 2010. Let's wait and see what will happen in Jan 2010. If six months waiting time. I will cancel my 2.0SX order. Too bad we are not in a strong position to demand for a solid updates or we will all cancel orders..Also from other brand.. like TCM is previously offering RM1k discount for each month that are overdue for delivery... i.e. if the car is delivered with 4 months late.. RM4k discount will be given when the car is available.. This post has been edited by bbear: Dec 28 2009, 04:00 PM |

I don't know why.. it made me felt like similar scenario will surfaces when there are problem on warranty.. calling carelines.. Agent A will tell one story, Agent B will tell another story.. then SC 1 will practice this.. and SC 2 will practice that.
I knew that is not the problem of the car or probably not even is Kia's problem but the Naza problem ( which if i moved to the other brand also is under Naza ) Buying car suppose to be fun, exciting.. with something looking forward to.. but all these while is only frustration. Maybe a hint on it is not the car for me after all. envy those that got their 1.6 on the road.. enjoying their new partners. |

QUOTE(victoryong @ Dec 28 2009, 04:31 PM) Thats why, we need to speak with once voice. Especially, when there are defect in cars that they delay fixing.. we need to 'band' together and 'tembak' them properly.. this will also help them improve their Services. If they cares about improvement .. looks at P1. Kena tembak so many years... You can see they already have huge improvement.. really can see the effort and R&D they spent .... in bullet proof technologies apology for the side track.. off topics. I really don't have much to talk about Forte since I failed to own one. |

QUOTE(twtang @ Dec 28 2009, 04:47 PM) bbear, I hopes i can wait for 2 more weeks but the car I am replacing Forte Booking will have an either RM3k or RM5k increase on 1st January.. I am not sure how true is that and is a risk to take if I am to wait for another 2 weeks then back to square one as I need to pay worst case.. RM5k more to the other car. Let's wait till mid of Jan. We can do it by then. Need to be fair to them. Anyway, 2 more weeks to go, pretty fast. At the same time I am thinking, 3-6 months of waiting period, it is just simply no making sense at all. |

I shared the same feeling ... buying car suppose to be fun and exciting, but ended up with disappointment and frustration before getting my Forte ... really "leaves you speechless" at times ... At least.. you got yours.. and started to feel to be a proud owner. Keeping finger cross that you don't need to go back for warranty and only see them twice a year for 2 years and you can have your feathers fully grown and fly away.. |

QUOTE(winlose2582 @ Dec 28 2009, 07:06 PM) Bro, if you really need to have good sound proof, your car required to be Naked with all the seats, door panels and roof/base carpets remove. Looks like we are in the same boat... yah, I am aware of what needed on the soundproof but if going for the Forte.. that seems to be the next step to do with the save up... but only a possible options. they may be other stuffs that could do the same to my acceptance level of cabin ambient. To avoid the engine sound, you required to remove the dashboard. Some parts are difficult to fix back due to the sound proof material. Maybe the experience installer can do the magic. Somemore, 1 layer of sound proof material can't feel the big difference... Min 2 to 3 layers if you need a good sound proof. That's the reasons why the sound proof so expensive charged. Just my 2 cent~~ Added on December 28, 2009, 7:12 pmWho already own the Forte which don't have the King Long emblem?? I'm going to let go my king long emblem. Kindly PM me. Only for the guy who own the Forte now. If don't have Forte Owner want it, then i will sell it to future Forte owner. I had transfered my booking to P308 oredi... feel sad cant be the Forte owner. But, i will reserve the 2.0 Forte for my 2nd car in future. This post has been edited by bbear: Dec 28 2009, 07:21 PM |
