Oh yes, will give Die Hard 4 tunnel scene a spin. I am sure towards the end where the jet flying low with its rumbling engines effect. Even my earlier MS Sub can feel the bass...I wonder this beast can sound how much realistic  hmm.gif
Tested out Pearl Harbor bombing scene, and in the end watched the entire movie. From the moment jap first torpedo hit the war ship, every explosion is delivered with stunning depth. Planes engines rumbles and spin around my entire hall in every direction with enuf weight.

Htkaki, I am wondering are your front L/R speakers channel levels set the highest. Audyssey & SPL meter tells my front has to increase by 4db than the rest using test tone.  But i have seen many set their centre channel higher than the front.
*
i set mine at 75dB for all channels including sub. It sounds perfectly well

Hi Simon,

Maybe you can refer to :

1. http://www.audioholics.com/education/acoustics-principles

2. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1182731&hl=trap

bass traps would be good.

Hmm.... let me try to translate :

"PB13-Ultra is one of the biggest subwoofers that I had reviewed thus far. Its facade measures more than 20cm and its depth is a terrifyingly 68cm with over 70kg in weight. It uses a 13” woofer for LFE with 3 high-flow flared ports powered by BASH amp that is rated at 750W. I found this unit to be big on voice coil that measures 3” and made from high temperature aluminum for optimal power handling. There is a rather huge gap surrounding the front cone for heat dissipation, while a gigantic dual linear 9” “spiders” with sewn-in tinsel leads with dual stacked ferrite magnets, 2” thick rubber surround and copper ‘farraday ring’ for enhanced frequency response and maximum efficiency. This enable the PB13-Ultra to produce 20Hz with power. With its stitched foam-core/glass composite cone, the woofer is very strong and can hold its own up. I can feel the lowness of the LFE which it brings changes to home cinema. Not only this, it could bring the realism of being in the movie a few steps up and watching movie will never be the same again"

My mandarin translation not really up to standard so there might be some mistakes blush.gif

Htkaki,

PC12-plus any awards given by Taiwanese?    cool2.gif
I like the phrase "Watching movie will never be the same again"
*
Not yet. Troy Chu of Taiwan will send it over for their review soon. I expect it to have good review wink.gif

Have you tested the scenes that I mentioned? How's the performance compared to the other renowned US sub? whistling.gif

QUOTE
How much would this be at here?

No exact pricing yet. But, it would be very competitive. The unit is pre-prod sample given to Prime AV for a review. The price range would be around USD1,099 to USD1,299. As it is very compact, the shipping cost will be considerably cheaper than the sub. Hence, if the price point is right, then it will be lower than 5K to RM6K.

As usual, there will be limited pre-orders once it is officially launched. A unit of this might be making its way to my showroom next month. More info by next week esp pre-orders. Expect attractive price wink.gif

No info on it yet as it is not in production yet. Expect price to be near identical for this once it hits the market.

I will e-mail to all SVS owners once it is out as priority is given to you all smile.gif

tolorati, welcome to SVS club thumbup.gif

Yes, it is indeed compact since it is based on B&O ICE power amp design. Expect the first demo unit to be here by end May along with all new SB13-Plus.

Btw, just completed this project in Klang :

The Subdude does help to minimise the vibration. Not sure how bad is your vibration. With Subdude, the bass becomes even more tighter.

On another note, PC-Ultras and PC12-NSD are on its way here.

No I have not. Like I said, I gave up as my laptops on Win7 and the sound cards are for XP or vista.

Max htkaki,
Last night watched Monsters vs Aliens and the lfe is amazing shocking.gif .
Especially the scene where the probe is walking.
Each step sents a deep shudder thro' my room.
My plaster ceiling was rattling so much,I had to reduce the subwoofer's gain by 3db at the avr side.
I usually it hot by 3 db for movies.
Guess my next project is to either remove the ceiling or reinforce it.
Any suggestions?
I need the subdude as a temp measure. Hope it works tho'
*
Usually, there is no need to run SVS sub at 3dB as it has so much of output that it can easily overpower a typical room. I can safely say that not many subs can come close to it if there is any available locally.

The Auralex will certainly helps to a certain degree but could not possible eliminate the vibrations. This is due to massive amount of air being moved by it to produce such SPL sweat.gif Try to pit it against a well-known US 15" ported sub that cost more than a grand more than your PC. Run the same scene again or TS Seven Eleven scene. Tell me the result wink.gif

Boss, sure you want SB-16? Its characteristic would be entirely different from PB13-Ultra. Anyway, it comes with a touch screen remote. It will be launched in end 3Q or early 4th Q 2010.

Won't be that 'premium' price. Will have more details on that soon.

I am hoping that SB10-NSD and SB12-NSD can make its way here before KLIAV show.

I want... I want... how much to let go PB13U?
Can you help? I can let it go earlier. SB16 would arrive sometime Dec rite?
Hope the price of SB16 wouldnt b too steep.
I always drool over bigger driver.  drool.gif
*
It will be here by end Nov or early Dec if everything is smooth sailing. Will let you know the special pre-order price wink.gif

The SB12-NSD matt black & piano black (RM3,400 & RM3,650 respectively - pre order with limited units) would be here first, right before KLIAV Show. Then, it would be SB10-NSD for as low as RM2,450 for matt black finish (pre-order price - shall confirm the no of limited units) and RM2,600 (pre-order) for piano black finish.

The SB13-Plus would be slightly more than PB13-Ultra while SB12-Plus cost a little bit more than PB12-Plus
