Boss, MCS-01 is nothing compares to Taukeh Ronald's gigantic RC-64. That alone already weights in at 27.7kg sweat.gif

The good thing about MCS-01 is that it still holds to itself when you crank it right up to reference level as been witnessed during the product launching smile.gif

I seldom use subtitle after acquiring MCS-01.

When you have time, do drop by my place. I shall let you experience the complete MTS system wink.gif

My plaster ceiling have a nasty crack.  I think its the PC12+'s fault.  Too much vibration.  Hope that it will not cause more crack that might result in expensive workover.
*
Wow...... sweat.gif This is the second case that I hear of. Do you normally listen at rather high vol?

An audiophiles who bought a PC12-NSD from me happily told me that the sub is doing its job when we were at Hi-Way Laser chatting. How? Abt a 2 feet crack appeared sweat.gif

That's a long crack that you have there sweat.gif

I never quite like plaster ceiling as it tends to vibrate easily. Mine is normal wood ceiling. My Ultra did once 'knock' down a photo frame out of the bookcase behind listening area.

Htkaki, do you think a subdude beneath the sub can help it tighten up the bass a little more?? Are we able to audition that with & without?

Any other svs owners who have more to share about the impact it cause to the surroundings.....I think it is pretty interesting to read.
yes. U r able to hear the diff with a subdude.

Best thus far wld be arj. His dad ran downstair think'g what happened when pc13-Ultra shook the 1st floor. His setup is at downstair.

For the PC12-NSD with a diameter of 16", which one would you guys recommend.
My sub is located in a corner and rattles my plaster ceiling located at the rear 1/2 of my hall.
Will the isolation platform reduce or eliminate this?
Thank  you.
*
I used Subdude for my previous PC12-Plus. It only protrude a little.

I guess it doesn't help much on the rattling but it may reduce it. Am not sure as mine aint plaster ceiling.

those with cracked plaster ceiling, are you running your sub hot & loud and by how much? just curious.

Probably due to very bare acoustic treatment. Now, I am interested to do corner trap.

Yep, that particular downlight right above the sub.  You can see it dance during the low freqeuncy part.

Added on March 30, 2010, 12:34 am

I am not sure if acoustic treatment will help.  What I do know is during those super low frequency time where you can fell the wave moving thru the room(what the sub suppose to do) the ceiling also vibrates.

Anyway, i have my sub volume at 12.
*
I have 2 sets of this in the HT room

user posted image

Everytime the PB13-Ultra flexes its muscle, it will vibrate sweat.gif For the record, my Ultra is being tuned at 74dB as I have yet to rectify some acoustic issue.

Hopefully get it done by this week.

Next month or June should be a busy month with the birth of all new SB series.

At the mean time, drawing up a plan for the upcoming KLIAV Show 2010. There's a media launch on 7th Apr at JW Marriott KL.

klimal paid me a visit this afternoon for a self-poison. Let him auditioned the PB13-Ultra since he already has PC12-NSD. His HM said that the beast is gigantic with jaw-dropping LFE. He's very impressed with performance too.

Anyone know how to edit those test scenes and combines it into different tracks / chapters in a single BD. This will make demo easier.

2x PC12-NSD will still yield the same performance in sound quality. You will be getting abt 6dB more by placing another 12-NSD. The bass response would be better since it will be more balance. Your PC12-NSDs do not need to work as hard.

By adding second sub, the output will not double. Many ppl have the misconception. That's why I am reluctant to put another Ultra in there to have a more even response.

A PC12-Plus would easily outperfoms PC12-NSD in terms of sound quality. It goes lower, tighter bass note, more tactile and blends well too. As for PC13-Ultra, I guess that I do not have to convince you on its sheer performance as it is near identical to PB-Ultra.

My advice is to sell the PC12-NSD and get either PC12-PLus or PC13-Ultra. Getting 2 PC12-NSDs is a lot more expensive than a PC12-Plus and it is nearly the price of a PC13-Ultra. But, with NSD, the limitation is already there.

Cheers

You may ask whether anfieldude is able to test it out for you or not since he has one now. I am quite sure that it will yield better result for your Submersive.

No, there won't be any due to cost and logistic issues.

You can see all of the subs and loudspeakers in upcoming KLIAV Show smile.gif
