Read this article and saw that Skrtel was the one to blamed for the winning goal YET AGAIN
![]() Rafa Benitez on Juventus radar as Guus Hiddink puts himself in the frame for Liverpool job Juventus are ready to offer Rafa Benitez an escape route from his mounting misery at Anfield. Former Italy striker Roberto Bettega has moved in as the new boardroom heavyweight at the Turin club and has already targeted Benitez as a prime candidate to replace under-fire coach Ciro Ferrera. Sportsmail can reveal that Bettega is a close personal friend of the Liverpool manager, as well as admirer of his coaching skills, and would have no hesitation recommending him for the task of reviving Juventus' fortunes. look like torres oso frustated on our situation
FERNANDO TORRES: BUY BIG OR I'LL QUIT FERNANDO TORRES last night warned Liverpool’s American owners to buy world-class players or he could quit Anfield. Crocked Spanish star Torres has seen his dreams of glory disappear in a season in which Liverpool have drifted from bad to worse on and off the pitch. The mild-mannered star has even turned on some of his own team-mates, making it clear he thinks many are not up to the job of winning the Premier League or in Europe. And in blistering attack, the £26.5m striker says co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett now have to dig deep or see the club lose touch with their rivals. Torres said: “It’s frustrating. We finished second last season. This season should have been a turning point for us – a chance to do something great. “Manchester United sold Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo, while Chelsea didn’t sign anyone. But it hasn’t been. It’s now the owners’ turn. They have to sign players so that this does not happen again. “If we want to compete with United and Chelsea we need a much, much more complete squad. We need more genuinely first-class players and we can’t let our best players leave.” Torres has always toed the party line at Anfield, but, fresh from the shock FA Cup defeat to Reading, his decision to go public with such strong criticism of the owners and the standard of his side will set alarm bells ringing. There is a genuine fear that if Liverpool fail to qualify for the Champions League, then he and Steven Gerrard will quit for a club with a genuine chance of silverware. Speaking in Four-Four-Two magazine, Torres added: “We didn’t want to win the Europa League at the start of the season but it’s a reality now. “Now we have to win it. Anything less than winning the tournament would be terrible. We need to improve, we need to take responsibility and we need to get into the top four and win something. We have virtually no chance of winning the title now. Now we need to make the best of this situation.” Torres is out for at least six weeks after he underwent knee surgery on the injury suffered against Reading on Wednesday. Gerrard will miss the next two weeks with a hamstring strain, while Yossi Benayoun is facing a month on the sidelines with a broken rib. Benitez has been told his job is safe until the summer – though warned if things contiunued to get worse then he could be dumped sooner. The Anfield board have already pencilled in Kenny Dalglish to move across from his ambassador’s role at the club to take over in a temporary basis if Benitez is sacked. The Spaniard is only months into a new five-year deal which means it would cost in excess of £10m to get rid of him – and also explains why Benitez is in no rush to resign. in rafa we trust ========================================= WTF la... another transfer target? http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/32629...ol_contact.aspx in rafa we trust This post has been edited by skeleton202: Jan 15 2010, 10:49 PM |

No way Rafa will resign him self. He just a manager after all, I don't think he can be as tough as Keegan. Resign no money, sacked got money. It seems like the we are lookinng for new owner to take over. To sack the manager and buy new players will be big big money to spend for the Yanks. Even last time also very kedukut don't say this time. I agree, better keep those old players than buying those new players. Anyway we are very high turn over players but not so effective.
Problem will be, are the players still got the confident and the sprit to work with Rafa? That's the point. Prob is if players are not happy then manager has to go. You can't change the whole team for one manager, or change the manager for the whole team. I don't think we will sell our torres or gerrard. Yanks are not stupid enough, if they sell, got money. But then can the yanks able to sustain the team. Not superstart very hard to attract buyers also. Only way is keep players sack manager. |

Reina- Keeper, Carraggher + Agger + Sktel, Gerrard+Masherano in midfield, while Torres as striker, I think if Mourinho take Liverpool Job, he only need 1 season to win BPL title to Liverpool. Look at Chelsea, he only need 1 season to do that. Why because he know what to do when he took any job. Ranieri cant do that eventhough Abramovic give unlimited fund.
Liverpool already got a few WORLD CLASS players who deserved to win BPL. So Mourinho only need 1 season to prove that. Sack Benitez! Bring Mourinho |

Raneiri came close didn't he?More over jose's first squad consisted many of stars which was bought in by Raneiri or even the owner himself.Liverpool already got a few WORLD CLASS players who deserved to win BPL. I'm not sure how this gonna work out, Rafa is barely 1 year into his contract and how they gonna sort this contract thing out. And the pressure to start on the new stadium... as you guys said, this is not a storm its a farking huricane. |
