the team did (sit back after a lead) a couple of times this season and end up either draw or lose. andy gray (the bias twat) did mentioned this during the game and it is true. we are coming back to GH era where 1 goal is good enough and try as hard to protect. it's ok if the back 4 are solid but it ain't.

early in the season i've said i believe rafa can bring home the title but based on last few games.. i dont believe it anymore. the entertaining football that the team played last season are gone. yes, we lost key players in the summer and some injured but it's rafa's fault for not having a good backup. look at mu and arse, the have as many injured players as liverpool but they managed to stay consistent with the subs. oh did u guys looks at the sub yesterday, 4 out of 6 is defensive. entertaining innit?

i'd care less if liverpool don't win anything this season as long as we mount a decent challenge.

never to bash kuyt but he need to to be rested. he played almost all the game in this current and last season. he did god last year but currently he's not on form. rafa likes him because of the work rate he produced but surely he can be rested for certain games.

Kuyt is off form.Nuff said.I remember someone posted an article about Rafa should drop the undroppable. I agree with that. Players like Carra, Gerrard and Kuyt have their own poor form period. If we keep sticking with them, we will perform badly. Give them a rest, perhaps, that might do a trick and let them regain their own form.

Few of us here were saying that there are no players able to fill in the right flank.El Zhar is injured...Yes but we have Eccleston. If we never play them, how can they gain experience and become better? What's the point of buying them?

We have the HG players problem to deal with in a couple of years time.We need these players to get exposed to the Premier League games and prepare them for the future.

We have seen glimpse of Pacheco, Kelly, Darby, Ayala..So why not Eccleston? He looks great for reserve and fairly consistent as well.Recently, he just rejected a contract extension from us and rumours have it that he want to play his trade elsewhere because the lack of opportunities given.

If Rafa is reluctant to try out these youngsters, there is no point for us to buy them and keep them in reserve.

P.S: Although he plays more as striker... tongue.gif

yup, this is one gripes on Rafa. he doesn't give the promising youngsters enough exposures on the top flight. positives buzz on the forwards: pacheco, nemeth, eccelstone in the reserve league but yet we barely see the guys played. not saying should played them on the bigger games. it's good enough with the cup games and some PL games with the lower team where most seniors doesn't give 100% sometimes.

off course rafa is stuck in "damn if he do, damn if he don't [sic]" dilemma.. but still, these youngsters will look somewhere else to play if they never given the chances which is a damn shame.

the yanks will make sure they gonna get huge profit before considering to sell. i read the asking price were 700m pounds.. thats double the amount that they never really paid for to buy the club.

torres really lost his touch. i blame spain and del bosque.

the team kept the ball but clueless what to do. better play with their own balls la...

Torres wont be happy and MIGHT want to leave if we cant make it for top 4 this season. He doesn't want to be sidelined either because This season will be important for him to show that he is an integral part of Spain squad. There are so many strikers in Spain squad that will be able to replace Torres if he doesn't play enough to convince the boss that he should be 1st choice alongside Villa.

He wouldn't want to be out for 2months or long. That's for sure. So, I think the decision to say NO to operation was made by both for him and Rafa.Plus, the medical staff did say that Torres need no surgery, rite?
*
torres a good lad and most probably wont leave even we only played europa league next season. at least that what i hope... both him and reina. he wont be dropped for spain world cup team unless injured. the partnership between him and villa has been working fine so why gamble.

eh btw, villa game today kan?

this game was an improvement all around. defensive still a bit dodgy on the flanks. lucky reina is the best keeper in the world.

lucas has been good for a few games when he played DM.

Aqua bit rusty and need a couple of games to fully understand the pace of the game.

gerrard looks like he bother again. good news.

kuyt bad first touch always end up breaking the play. but at least he's better than last few games now.

yossi and kuyt tendencies to drift inside end up exposing insua and johnson. there's a few time when the team attack the wide area no player. and torres end up there to help. the wide area still a problem rafa haven't tackled.

torres's goal only gonna bring him confident. hopefully he'll find his magic boots again.
