QUOTE(shahz @ Jan 9 2010, 05:19 PM) I dont think the battery life will be that short..If it has a good CPU management, then it supposedly wont hog the battery that much..Its about the ROM you use too..If you compared Magic with a shipping ROM with iPhone, then I do expect it to lose..But if its on Modaco ROM, I doubt it..My Hero lasted 5 days without charging at maximum battery saving mode..How? I was travelling, and forgot to bring the charging cable..My battery was still about 85% and I switched off the mobile internet, wifi and GPS altogether..Used Hero like a 3310 (just call and sms) and I was really surprised it pulled from Monday to Friday without a single charge..That was on Modaco 2.9..Go ahead, and do that with the iPhone if it can not because of iphone fault tht suck up ur money..recently i also get that case n all because of Maxis..they cannot let us block data usage except u jailbreak it@Verain Exactly..Thats why Google can really dominate the online world..I'm eager to get my hands on Google Earth on my N1 soon..Yes..Earth..Not Maps I have to say I am really addicted to Android as if its a dose of cocaine..I seem to type a lot when its related to Android..lol..Maybe I really should start blogging..haha.. I will write an extensive review on the Nexus One when mine arrives..You guys want images or video? |

@Vervain , @hihihehe , I know, I mean, they should've loaded it into the phone by default like how Android could..I am looking forward to Apple's answer to Nexus One if they have one..At least iPhone will not just play around with everyone and come out with more improvements hopefully..Just like our streamyx, for as long as there is no competition, there will be no improvements..It has been said in many places, Apple is actually afraid of Nexus One

Agree. Competition is good for customers. What I like about Apple is their persistence innovation even without clear competitors. But if strong competitors exist, Apple surely will double their innovative spirit.

"With the Nexus One, Google has taken the most advanced features seen in recent smart phone designs and wrapped them up into a single sleek design," said Kevin Keller, senior analyst, competitive analysis, for iSuppli. "Items like the durable unibody construction, the blazingly fast Snapdragon baseband processor and the bright and sharp Active-Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (AM-OLED) display all have been seen in previous phones, but never before combined into a single design. This gives the Nexus One the most advanced features of any smart phone ever dissected by iSuppli's Teardown Analysis Service-a remarkable feat given the product's BOM is similar to comparable products introduced during the past year."

Honestly, I think if the Iphone fans are reading this thread they will be laughing at these Nexus One kanchiong spider. Iphone 3GS has reached this state last year. I am sure this year Iphone will be leading with better processor, better GPU (PowerVR SGX545) and with more apps. Android is slowly catching up but still lack behind as Apple is leading the trend here. They set path and Android just follow.
And Shahz, your review will be spoilt if you are writing with your Google fanboy attitude. This post has been edited by SanosukeSagara: Jan 9 2010, 11:51 PM |

Whoa..iPhone dude..You're in the wrong place here..
First of all, you're comparing iphone which has been on the scene for more than 3 years now against Android which has hardly been here for a year..Still, at this pace, they have already released more than 20 phones so there is no reason why they can't catchup.. Secondly, if you want to talk bad about Android and brag about iPhone, you're seriously on the wrong thread dude..I don't have anything against iPhone lovers, but you want to talk bad about Android, talk in iPhone's thread lar~ No one will say anything.. Thirdly, when I will be writing the review on Nexus One, it will have nothing to do with iPhone at all..Why these guys are looking forward to the review mostly is because I'm using Hero..I compare Android with Android..not with iPhone..and I dont have to..People who are posting here know why they are using Android..Read up the whole thread..Even tera will be comparing Nexus One against Magic (also Android if you don't know)..My advice is, before you flame someone in the future, please get full details of what the whole subject is about.. As far as you saying me having "Google fanboy attitude", thanks..It really means a lot to me..Make me feel like I achieved my karma for being an Android freak already |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I just posted this awhile ago... inside htc magic thread. I think it could help it a lil. Same as shahz I do like if u call us android fanboy or freak ,crazy could be still okay. I study a lot about android in past 4 months, after targeting which android device I wanna buy, in 2 month I study how to use android, magic and how to tweak/root it. U could noe how eager or crazy I am that time and now comes out nexus one with more advanced and outstanding feature, can any of u could expect how crazy I become now. Nuff said And with those iphone commercial thing inside spoiler, yes it did fool me and that time I also wanna get iphone for sure, after noe and study about android I din remember a sh** about Iphone already. Google android is just too much thing to care of. Yeah I noe iphone is over price and got a lot of wow factor that time with so-called-rich-ppl-only-handset. Of course u wanna buy it to track ppls attractions and that's the only reason y those short-tech-minded(sorry not targeting any of u) ppl buy iphone for, even they din noe how to use it. Even i study alot bout android already be4 getting its device, when the 1st time i hold it i still blurry of how to use it coz its my 1st time use smartphone . Android got a lot of potentials, so u need to study more to earn its power. I don need wow factor I just need its function, so I buy device not to show off but to appreciate and use all its potential. With this google nexus one release, swipe all of those wow factor for sure and no more for iphone and leave nothing for it or maybe just ONLY pinch zooming selfishness authority inside US country. sry full of offense.
