Last time when i called my office supplier, they PICK-UP the phone and tell me they are out of stock, shouldn't they do the same?  sweat.gif

I see your point. Dunno why they want to avoid your calls. As long as got buyer who willing to pay, who don't want to sell?
Maybe they should think of better business strategy.

if the price stay at this 25-35 level, the demand will be even more. perth mint might increase the premium further.

I though perth mint sold out 1oz dragon. How they going to increase premium?

8% you're referring to gold.
The right place for gold discussion is here: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2013163/+1420

To answer your question, that's their business strategy, low spread but high price. That's to encourage people who are worried about liquidating their gold bars to buy from them, and in future sell back to them at low spread.

Don't forget, for silver or gold or currency or anything, the spread can change when prices fluctuates.
There is no government price control.
Willing seller, willing buyer.

The Perth mint cannot put high premiums over the dragons as they are considered bullions.

The high premiums are only found in the limited proofs and collectibles

Just got a quite interesting fact from a buyer of mine.
He claimed that the salesperson at Habib showed him a picture of PAMP silver dragon design 1 troy oz.
Anyone can get it?
I googled it up just now, no such result. =S

the 2oz i bought is USD18 premium over the spot rate. The dealer said it was because perth mint increased the premium. but perthmintbullion still sell at same premium.
Not only one dealer said so.

You are in the right place actually. If you can read from page 60 onwards, you should get a pretty much clear picture on silver investment in malaysia. thumbup.gif
Some of the forumers here also sells/trade their silver. icon_rolleyes.gif
SGSKY is selling his 2oz dragon, but is in 5 pieces pack. Dunno whether the offer is still valid or not. notworthy.gif

when i first saw the 2oz dragon, the premium was around usd 4-5 per oz.
now is usd 9 per oz, usd 18 for 2oz loh.

kook or koala only USD4-5 only.

that's why i said perth mint might increase the premium of dragon if they can't meet the demand.

Thing is they dont state whether its koala or draagon.
They just state the price of silver bullion.

Hi,

I have always been a lurker here.

just got back from the dealer I usually buy from.... asked him why close shop, he replied that his stock finished last Friday, the problem is he can't make any orders from his usual suppliers overseas. Rather than hold other people's cash, he decided to lie low until he can get a confirm delivery from them.
