Any tenants or residents currently living in Midfields can confirm on this? Can someone snap some pictures of the flooded parking area, lift area and walkways during heavy rain? Does that mean large pools of water collected at certain areas are restricting movement? It may be normal for some low areas at parking or walk ways with poor drainage to collect some water during heavy rain, but lift area? I thought the lift area at the ground floor is quite high and located in the building? Or the comment above applies to lift areas at every floors above when the rain splashes through the open windows into the lift floor area?

What sort of plumbing and water draining problems are we talking about? Care to clarify?

slow down bro..i encountered the flooding few months ago at the lift lobby area, not all the floors. also, not really flood like 0.3m high, it is more like becak with water. Imagine u come down from the lift and the moment you step out are the wetness on the floor...lobby area suppose to be dry and clean. my friend never mention about flooded parking area though..

Flooded? Wet or very wet yes but surely not flooded. A condo in USJ 1 really got flooded and the cars were like half-submerged in water. It's due to the open concept design of MF to allow in more natural light. As such, when it rains and there are strong winds, it gets wet.

Thanks for the information. When you mention lift lobby area, I presume it's only at the ground floor? The lift lobby at the ground floor is several steps higher than the walkway and there is a glass panel that separates the lift lobby from the walkway where entrance through the glass panel is via access card which tenants/residents hold. I cannot imagine how rain water can actually get into this area, the floor just in front of the lift area which is within the building and enclosed by the glass panel. If this phenomena is proven to be true, then it is really quite serious and needs to be rectified.

Am I missing something here?

yes. last time the area within the glass panel is wet. It got wet due to rain gush in from top due to open air, not from overflow drain. Now, management have solve it by installing glass roof on top(this one i cannot confirm as i personally haven't seen it, it was mentioned by someone in this thread)

Guess Block B and C got delayed because of this problem?

Thanks again for the clarification. Difficult to imagine without seeing the thing on site. If rain water can find its way into the lift lobby area into the glass panel, personally I think it doesn't reflect too well and is a design flaw. The lift lobby area that is enclosed by the glass panel can be considered as indoor already that is inside the building. It is supposed to be completely dry during heavy rain, in my opinion. When one exits the lift lobby through the glass door, the floor is still at high level as there are two to three steps down onto the walkway. Outside this glass door or glass wall panel, this area can be wet since it is not entirely covered.

The management should look into this aspect and make sure that rain water will not get into the lift lobby that is enclosed by the glass wall panel during a thunder storm.

They installed polycarbonate roofs. Wish they used glass though. Lift lobby at the ground floor doesn't get wet anymore.
They also installed aluminium louvers at each floor to prevent rain from blowing into lift lobby at each floor. Good thing they did too... adds a touch of class to the building facade if you ask me.

i stay here..every time after heavy rain..floor at foyer i mean entire fountain area like kena wash by cleaner (look wet but not slippery) so im ok..inside the respective block (A/B) dry...which is ok to me..

the walkway from carpark to respective block is not completely tube
(so sure kena from rain)..just a roof so when heavy rain i expect a bit spill over from grass to my foot...

carpark certain area like corner which expose to rain coz no
cover...unless u wan carpark like totally blackout then no rain can come in haha

carpark i dun think can improve anymore due to design, unless more high trees planted to block the rain...

there is always an issue, just voice it up and settle it...

New phase?.. Is it near the orange block ( block C)..

There seemed to be a big empty land as well.

Will it going to be an office lot?.
