Ya I spoke with the TM guy. I realize many ppl want unifi, but they haven't sign up.

Tq for the guy at B2 call Alan, he push very aggressive to TM and YTL and related parties. The TM guy said he knew very well about this unifi issue. The unifi infra has been discussed 7-8times meeting. And now ald in stage 3.

He said:
1. for sure end of this year will install. Just not enough subscribers. TM require 60%(480 applicants) which now have only 200+

2. After the road show they will submit the total subscribers and discuss with JMB. 2options going to decide by JMB:
a. Lower cost: only unit submit application will get unifi. Units didn't submit they handle the infra them self in future, in another words they dun have unifi.
B. Higher cost: All units will install unifi infra no matter apply or not. This will involve higher cost to be bear by JMB.

i attended the AGM last november, i remember they got mention about the repainting the building after cny.
so far from that meeting, one of those things they have solved is installing rain cover facing the lift.

The building repainting plan is still on. (though very much delayed by SPYTL).

Painting contractor has already prepared the gondolas and pending approval for the permit, it's scheduled to start mid October in stages with Block A first.

I'm having issues watching Astro HD channels since last Saturday (Block A). It says "Service Currently not Available". However, all SD channels are ok. I have converted to HD using the contractor LS Ang last year.

Anyone else facing the same problem?

Hey the notice says unifi would set up a ''demand counter''. Does it mean it's just another round of action enquiring demand or we are really able to enjoy unifi now?
*
Last week the counter was at Block A. This week should be at Block B as according to the notice.
So how many will go and register especially from Block B?

i heard block B2 is the most applicants. This road shoe I think is to bring up the awareness to all midfield residence so that haven't apply can apply before the implement.

Yup that's right. The roadshow has 3 purpose:
1. As an awareness campaign for Midfields residents to know about the availability of Unifi in the condo.
2. To create demand and residents to fill in the forms and meet the target numbers by TM (estimated 400-450).
3. For residents who have previously filled the forms in management office to check/edit their details.

Negotiations are already in the final stages and once we meet the target numbers, then the installation cost can be significantly lower to get Unifi implemented as there will be a subsidy from TM.

If we don't meet the target, Unifi will still be installed by year end, but at a higher cost per subscriber (not sure how much yet). And as you mentioned earlier, to manage it from a cost perspective, there is a high possibility that TM will provide the exact ports for the interested subscribers only and perform the internal fibre cabling to those units. Resident/Tenants who don't subscribe now but decide to do so in the future will have to go thru this whole process from the start without any guarantee.

there are instances in some other housing area where the unifi fibre optic ports were used up and some houses were not able to apply for unifi.. so apply when you can!
